Back to Tanjiro

3rd Person P.O.V.

Tanjiro continued on after dealing with the hand demon. During one of the days it started raining. Tanjiro was being chased by a demon, however, he was able to trap the demon using tree branches. 

The demon was growling at Tanjiro as he was trying to get some information from the demon.

"There's something I want to ask you. How do I turn someone who's become a demon back into a human?"

The demon didn't answer instead it broke through the branches, and straight at Tanjiro. Tanjiro killed it before it could get to him.

After Tanjiro just killed the demon, two more show up. He then tried to get information from them. 

"Please tell me... how can I turn Nezuko..." Tanjiro started. The two demons run at him.

"Guahhh!" the demons yelled.

"...back to a human!" Tanjiro finished.

He didn't get an answer. Instead, Tanjiro killed them

 and then continued to run through the forest. He stops for a moment and sniffs the air, he finds that he is surrounded by wisteria flowers.

"Wisteria? Hah... I made it." Tanjiro said in relief.

'That means I'll be seeing Nezuko tomorrow.' 

By the next morning, it had stopped raining. Tanjiro and three other candidates stand at the gathering area. A boy in yellow looks exhausted, Zenitsu. I boy in black looks angry, Genya. The girl in pink was calm, Kanao.  

'Only four of us? But there were at least twenty. I don't see that guy here, either. It's all because I blacked out at that moment. I couldn't save him.' Tanjiro thought

"I gonna die," Zenitsu said terrified to no one in particular. 

"Huh?" Tanjiro said as he turned toward the boy.

"I'm a goner. Even if I survive now, I'm gonna die in the end anyway." Zenitsu said to himself.

"Welcome back." Kiriya and Kanata said.

"Congratulations." Kanata said. 

"We're glad to see that you're safe," Kiriya said.

"So? What am I supposed to do now? Where's my sword?" Genya asked impatiently.

"First, we shall issue you all uniforms. We will take your measurements, after which your rant will be engraved." Kanata said.

"There are ten ranks in all," Kiriya explained.

"Kinoe," Kanata said.

"Kinoto," Kiriya said.

"Hinoe," Kanata said.

"Hinoto," Kiriya said.

"Tsuchinoe," Kanata said.

"Tsuchinoto," Kiriya said 

"Kanoe," Kanata said.

"Kanoto," Kiriya said.

"Mizunoe," Kanata said 

"Mizunoto," Kiriya said.

"Currently, you are at the lowest rank, Mizunoto," Kanata told the group.

"And our swords?" Genya asked 

"Today, we will let you choose the ore for your swords, but the swords will take fifteen days to complete," Kanata explained.

"Are you kidding me?" Genya exclaimed angrily.
