Nezuko's P.O.V.

I told Tanjiro and Urokodaki about my Final Selection and how it went. Now I didn't tell them about what happened after and all of the details like some of my abilities. I will give Urokodaki more of the details later when Tanjiro is asleep. I wanted Tanjiro to be surprised about my abilities. I also want to see his face when he sees them for the first time. Once he sees my abilities for himself I'll give them the whole story.

I know it might seem like I'm not being truthful and hiding things from my brother, but I do this for his safety among other things. When it comes to hiding my abilities, I hide them because I don't want him to rely on them. I'll use them to help when he's in a bind but other than that, I want him to learn and grow without being reliant on me. However, I will use them in the situations Nezuko originally did in the show.

Now when it comes to hiding certain things about myself, like my past and my ability to be in the sun, that's for his safety. Now I will tell him about my past when we meet the Hashiras but right now it's staying a secret. No one will find out about my sun resistance until we are at the part where it was revealed in the show. Now if things change I might hide it for longer or shorter. It depends on how everything goes. I'll be changing a lot of things so, you'll never know if something is affected majorly because of the changes.

Anyway, after I told them about my Final Selection. Tanjiro began to tell me about his. I already knew what happened, but hearing it being told by my brother is different than watching it on TV.

"I'm proud of you, Tanjiro. Your determination will get you far in life. I'm also proud of you for sticking up for the kids when the other survivor got aggressive." I told him as I got up and hugged him.

"Thank you Nezuko, I'm proud of you as well. Even though you are a demon you still pursued becoming a Demon Slayer. I will still worry as you are my little sister, but you've proven you're not so little anymore." Tanjiro said as he hugged me back.

We continued to talk for a bit longer until Urokodaki suggested that we go to bed.

"Children, I think it's time for you to get to bed. Nezuko just came back from her Final Selection. And yes I know that you are a demon and have probably recovered from your exam but there might be some more healing you need to do." Urokodaki said when I tried to protest.

"You're right. We should head to bed. Goodnight Tanjiro. Goodnight Urokodaki-sensei." I said

"Goodnight Nezuko. Goodnight Urokodaki-sensei." Tanjiro said.

"Goodnight you two," Urokodaki said.

We all began to get ready for bed I got into my bedroll and stared at the ceiling. Tanjiro too got into his bedroll, he was soon out. I looked to my left and saw that Urokodaki wasn't in his bedroll. I looked around and noticed he was by one of the windows looking out into the night. I got up and walked to him.

"Are you alright?" I asked as I sat beside him.

"Yes, I'm alright. I'm just glad that you both came back to me in one piece. I've lost so many pupils in the past I don't know what I would've done if I lost another." he told me.

"I understand. I've lost my family twice. I don't know what I would do if I lost you, Tanjiro, or the Ubuyashiki family. I've come to see all of them as family. I've also come to see you as family as well. You took both me and my brother in when you didn't have to and for that, I will be forever grateful. You trained us to become Demon Slayers, so we could protect others from demons slaughtering them and their families." I said truthfully. I took a risk and put my head on his shoulder. He tensed a bit but then he relaxed.

"I've come to see you two as family as well. I know I can be stern, but being a Demon Slayer can do that to you."

"I get it, seeing all the gruesome scenes you've come across can be hard on a person. But if we can help decrease the risk of that happening, I believe all the hard work we've been through is worth it." I told.

"You're correct it is worth it. Now, do you want to tell me what really happened during the Final Selection?" he asked amused looking at me.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," I said with a slight smirk as I lifted my head.

"Oh don't play koi with me. I could tell that you were holding back some details," he said.

"You're right I did hide some details. The only reason I did that was that I wanted Tanjiro to see my abilities on his own. I also didn't want him to start relying on them once he learned of them." I told him.

"That's smart. He needs to be able to do things on his own and not rely on others all the time. However, he's going to need help every now and again." he explained

"I know," I said. I then proceeded to tell him the full story of my Final Selection besides the part after it. When I finished telling him, he chuckled.

"You really forgot about your biggest advantage on a demon in the middle of a fight. Only you Nezuko, only you." he chuckled.

"Yeah, how I forgot it I still don't know," I said giggling.

"Well, it's getting late. We should head to bed. By the way, I asked the Master if both you and your brother's swords can be delivered at the same time. He said that he told the Swordsman Village and they will be delivered on the same day." he told me.

"Thank you Urokodaki-sensei. Have you told Tanjiro this?" I asked.

"I did. He was fine with it. He actually would rather them be delivered the same day so you can enjoy the experience together." he explained.

"That sounds like Tanjiro. Goodnight Urokodaki-sensei." I said as I got back into my bedroll and started drifting off to sleep the last thing I heard was Urokodaki saying goodnight.

"Goodnight Nezuko."
