Prologue

Kiara's P.O.V.

The final bell echoed through the classroom, signaling the end of another school day. I packed my notebooks into my backpack, already thinking about getting home. 

I grabbed my phone and slipped my Beats over my ears, waiting a moment for them to connect before heading toward my car.

I had to park across the street because the school's lot was already full. Construction on the new campus had closed part of the parking lot, so there were limited parking spaces. Once I got to the crosswalk, I pressed the button that would allow me to cross. As I waited for the go-ahead, I started thinking about what I was going to do when I got home.

'I can't wait to get home. I've been rewatching Demon Slayer since the new arc came out recently, and I needed a refresh of what's already happened.'

I looked up and noticed that the light was green, so I started to walk.

3rd P.O.V.

As Kiara crossed the street, a distracted driver sped through the intersection, oblivious to the red light. Then they realized they were headed straight for Kiara. They honked to get her attention so she could move, but it was no use. They slammed on the brakes, but it was too late.

Kiara's P.O.V.

I was halfway across the street when I suddenly felt unbearable pain. At first, I didn't know what happened, but once I stopped moving, I looked around and saw what looked like a truck right in front of me.

'I just got hit by a truck. No wonder I'm in pain.'

Was the driver not paying attention? I saw a figure running towards me, and I could slightly see their mouth moving, but I couldn't make out what they were saying. After a few minutes, I started feeling drowsy. I know I shouldn't close my eyes, but I don't care; I'm tired, and I'm in pain. Right before I closed my eyes, I made a wish.

'I wish I could be reincarnated into the last show I watched.'

Little did I know that wish would change my life forever.
