Nezuko's P.O.V.

Today is day four of Tanjiro's Final Selection which means he has already defeated the Hand Demon and all Urokodaki's pupils can finally be at rest. It's also the day that Tomioka comes to get me for my Final Selection. I had already packed a bag, including a nichirin sword that Urokodaki had on hand and my fox mask. I'm wearing one of the outfits that I made. Urokodaki got me some fabric, a needle, and some thread so I could make my own clothing, which wouldn't limit my movement. I found a way to embed my blood into the fabric, so when I changed size the clothes would change with me. It took a little while to figure out how and for it to not stain the fabric but I managed.

Tomioka should be here any minute I could hear him coming miles away. A few minutes later he arrived. Urokodaki greeted him and then they both came inside.

"Hello, Tomioka. It's good to see you again. Also, thank you for taking me to my Final Selection." I told him as I bowed in thanks.

When I stood back up, I saw that Tomioka had a shocked look on his face.

'Must be my clothing. It is pretty different than what the style is now.'

"Hello, Nezuko. And you're welcome. It was the least I could do since you gave me your trust with your secret." he told me once he got out of his shock.

"You good?" I asked amused.

"Uh..."

"It's okay, both Urokodaki-sensei and Tanjiro were shocked when they first saw me in the clothes I made. I tried to combine clothing ideas from this world and my own. It's a bit different than what many are used to but it helps with movement. And I'm more comfortable with this. Hopefully, I can start a trend. Kidding." I told him.

"I see," Tomioka said.

"Do you have everything packed Nezuko?" Urokodaki asked.

"Yes sir. A few rations, a few changes of clothes, water, mask, and sword are all packed." I told him.

"Good. Well, you two better start heading off. Tomioka here is the basket Tanjiro carried Nezuko in. You'll need to put a sheet over it so no excess sun gets through. It'll work for your journey there and back." Urokodaki told him as he handed Tomioka the basket Tanjiro made.

"Goodbye, Urokodaki-sensei. Thank you for helping me and my brother with our training." I said and hugged him.

"Goodbye, Urokodaki-sensei," Tomioka said and then set the basket on the floor and I went over to it and got in.

"Let the journey begin," I said as I shrunk to fit the basket. Tomioka put the top and sheet over it and then picked it up. I jostled around a bit but then I got comfortable for this long journey.

"Tomioka I'm going to sleep the majority of the time to gain my strength. If something comes up, wake me up and I'll help." I told him and then started to drift off to sleep.

"Alright," he said and our journey to my Final Selection began.

I woke up a few times during the journey, mostly at night to keep watch while Tomioka slept. Luckily for us, nothing happened on our journey. We finally made it to the Final Selection site. When we got to the mountain, Tomioka woke me up and told me we were almost there. I told him to try not to get too close to the wisteria as it made me feel sick. Once night fell, Tomioka set the basket down so I could get out. I looked around and saw all the wisteria. It was beautiful as I looked ahead of me again I saw Tanjiro. He was leaning on a stick looking exhausted.

"Tanjiro!" I yelled and ran to him. When I got to him I wrapped my arms around him and gave him a hug. I made sure I didn't squeeze too hard because of the injuries. He hugged me back with a force that I'm surprised he still had based on his condition.

"Okay what injuries were caused by demons and what are cuts from the environment?" I asked while I inspected him.

"Uh... most of them were caused by demons throwing me around some were made by demons themselves," Tanjiro said confused.

"Okay, I want you to stay still. This won't hurt might tingle a bit but that's it." I told him as I grabbed my sword and sliced my hand.

"Nezuko!?! What are you doing!?!" Tanjiro exclaimed.

"Relax, I'm fine. Trust me. Now be still." I told him sternly. I put my cut hand in front of him and lit my blood to form my flames. I then controlled my flames to surround my brother and healed all the injuries made by a demon. While I was doing this, Tanjiroo flinched and yelped a bit.

"Calm down, the flames won't hurt you," I told him as I concentrated. He nodded and he and Tomioka continued to stare in shock over what I was doing.

"Okay, done. The injuries made by a demon should be healed. You'll still feel some slight pain in the areas where the wounds were, but it should go away in a few hours." I told him.

The boys came out of their shock and started asking me question after question.

"How did you do that?" Tanjiro asked.

"What can you heal?" Tomioka asked.

"What else can you do?" they both asked.

"Okay, hold it. One question at a time guys. To answer your questions, while training I started experimenting with my blood demon art to figure out what I can do with it. That led me to figure out that I can heal injuries caused by demons. I can heal anything that a demon inflicted on a human, bites, scratches, poisons, etc. Now if they throw you and you hurt yourself I can't heal that seeing as the impact harmed you and not the demon physically hurting you. As to what else I can do, well that's a secret." they nodded.

I knew Tomioka knew a little bit about my blood demon art but he didn't know to what extent it was after experimenting. All he knew was what I told him, Kagaya, and Amane that day.

"Now that you're somewhat healed Tanjiro you can start heading back to Urokodaki's. He is anxious for your arrival. I will see you in a week. I love you, be careful." I told him as I hugged him.

"Alright. Thank you, Nezuko. I love you too. And I'll see you in a week." he said as he hugged me back and then headed his way down the mountain. I watched him until I could no longer see him

"Alright, Tomioka, where do I go from here?" I asked.

"Follow this path and it will lead you to where the Final Selection participants gather. The Master's children will be there to give you instructions," he told me as he pointed to the path Tanjiro just come from.

"Alright, thank you. Go ahead and take the basket with you. I won't be needing it from here. I will see you in a week after my exam is done." I told him.

"Alright. Good luck Nezuko. I hope you pass. The Demon Slayer Corps will be lucky to have you." Tomioka said and nodded to me

"Thank you," I said and bowed to him. He then started making his way down the mountain.

I started heading down the path Tomioka pointed at and headed to the Final Selection gathering area.
