Alana's P.O.V
When I had checked the night before, 6:47am was when my phone had said sunrise would be; so when I woke at 6:07am it was still dark outside. I rolled over to face my beside table and reached out for my phone. I couldn't feel it so I sat up to look for it and then remembered that I'd put it on to charge.
I dragged my feet off the bed, and rubbed my eyes. I watched my legs dangle a millimetre above the off-white carpet before standing up and unplugging my phone from the socket. Surprisingly, I was greeted with three messages when I turned on my screen - it had been almost half-two in the morning when I last checked my phone.
I had three messages from Michael and one from Harvey.
From Michael;
3:03AM - Heyyyyy! Ash told me what you said about me...3:03AM - But yeah. Your video was so good!! :)
3:04AM - Come back to Sydney soon! We miss you sooo much :(
I sent a quick reply before clicking on Harvey's name. I'd completely forgotten about the incident on Sunday and still hadn't replied to the text asking me when and where we could meet up.
From Harvey;
4:57AM - Are you free tomorrow after school? Up for a coffee or something? :)Man, I felt so bad. I'd practically ignored him after asking him whether he wanted to meet up. Obviously, not on purpose: but Harvey didn't know that and he didn't know that it wasn't me that had asked him in the first place.
I normally had trampolining training on Wednesdays but as I felt bad for leaving Harvey hanging for so long, I decide that I'd speak to Olly and try to work something out so that I could meet up with him.
To Oliver;
Hey Olly, is there any possibility that we could reschedule training tomorrow? I can't make it after school. Thanks, AlanaFrom Oliver;
Hi Alana, I'm sure we can arrange that. It's unlike you to miss training, hope everything's alright? What days can you do instead?It was true; I planned everything around my training but it just felt so necessary to make one minor exception his time round.
To Oliver;
Yeah everything's cool :) I can do late Thursday or anytime Saturday... either of those good for you?To Harvey;
Yeah! Love to have a coffee... meet you at the park - west entrance for 3:30?From Oliver;
I can do both... I'd prefer Thursday but you'll have school and stuff the next day, so you choose.From Harvey;
Sounds good to me ;) See you tomorrowFinally, that was done. I still felt a bit bad about leaving Harvey hanging for so long but hey, I'd explain it all to him tomorrow. Right now I had to focus on getting ready for school.
It was currently 6:23am so I still had enough time to wash my hair before starting my normal morning routine. I stripped off my pyjamas and jumped in the shower. For me, it wasn't the washing of my hair that took a long time; it was the drying. As my hair was long and thick it always took me at least 20 minutes to fully comb and dry my hair.
Once I'd finished in the shower, I wrapped my hair up in a head-towel and headed back to my room to get dressed. I couldn't dry my hair straight away as it was before 7am and my parents would get really pissed off if they were woken up by my hairdryer.
I put my phone on my docking station a played some music that was only just loud enough for me to hear.
I flung on my underwear and then slid myself into my shirt and did up the buttons. I grabbed my trousers and socks and put those on before wrapping my tie around my neck.
