Sorry it's been a while... it's quite long so I haven't proofread it just yet either, but enjoy! Xx
Alana's P.O.V
After being let out of registration early, I made my way over to the library as I had a free period; today I'd decided not to stay at home in morning as I needed to distract myself and studying, unfortunately, was a good way to do so. I wouldn't have minded studying in the library today because even though George didn't have any lessons until last period he'd said he would come in so we could study together, but I hadn't seen him around school today and apparently he wasn't in registration either, so I was all alone anyway.
I was stood outside the library waiting to go in when I suddenly felt hands on my shoulders causing me to jump slightly.
"It's only me, calm down," George said, laughing.
"You scared me," I admitted as he stood in front of me and I leant back against the wall. "I thought you weren't in today."
"Oh, how comes?"
"I just hadn't seen you yet and Noah told me you weren't in registration either."
"Well, here I am," he pointed out, beaming at me.
"So you are. Should we go inside?" I asked.
After an hour and a half of being in the library, George and I had taken over a whole table with a mixture of sociology notes, books and folders. We'd originally set out to do some music theory but soon got distracted and our music notes gradually became covered by the rest of our stuff.
"I can't deal with this anymore," I moaned, collapsing onto George's shoulder.
"What?" he chuckled, squeezing my arm.
"Studying... it's so boring."
"Why don't we do something fun instead?"
"Like what?"
"I don't know; what do you want to do?"
"Sleep," I answered bluntly, causing George to laugh. "Stop laughing! I can't lean on your shoulder if you're laughing."
"Sorry," he said, trying to suppress his chuckling. "Did you not sleep last night?"
"Not really."
"Why not? You need sleep."
"I don't know; just had a lot on my mind, I guess."
"Well, I hope you sleep better tonight."
"Me too."
"Oh shit, I have to leave," he said, jumping up and collecting his things.
"Why?"
"Ms Dixon wants to talk to me," he groaned. All I could do in response was laugh.
"Well have fun with that," I replied sarcastically.
"You're the one that has to go to intervention with her next," he pointed out as he walked away.
I stayed in the library for another forty minutes after George had left and when the bell finally went I made my way to the Sociology intervention that I'd been dreading for weeks; I don't know why I'd been selected - I wasn't behind or below average.
George's friend, Noah, was in the Sociology intervention with me and decided to sit at the desk in front me. We had never had an extensive conversation but got on and we always said hi when we saw each other.
"Are you alright?" he asked turning around in his chair and leaning over towards my desk.
"Yeah... why?"
