Alex's P.O.V
Like Lucas, I had known Alana since I was born. Lucas, Alana and I had all grown up together. She was about a year older than me (but she had been held back a year when she was in nursery so she was still in year 13 like Lucas and I) and less than an inch shorter. We'd never gone to the same school, but she was mine and Lucas' closest friend. We were often referred to as Harry, Ron and Hermione. Lucas being Harry, me - Ron and (of course) Alana - Hermione. I guess we had similar features to our respectable characters... Lucas had dark brown hair and green eyes, Alana had brown hair and blue eyes and I had dirty blonde hair (they said it was the closest to ginger) and brown eyes.
The three of us had had some amazing times together. And even though Alana didn't go to the same school as us, she always seemed to find the time to meet up with us.
And we'd always see each other, at least, once a week at our youth group. Our youth group met every Sunday and we'd chat, play games, discuss certain topics and generally just chill. Then, once a month we'd go on some sort of day trip. It could be ice-skating, cinema, theme park... Anything really.

"I thought you had school today," I queried.
"I was meant to," Alana replied. "But it got cancelled at the last minute."
"Lucky you," said Lucas.
"Yeah, I know... I wasn't really looking forward to double Music today," she said.
"Wait. Alex. We have Music work due for tomorrow."
"Is that tomorrow?" I asked in despair.
"Yeah... I need to do it. I'm going out with tonight, I won't have time."
"What do you guys have to do?" Alana asked.
"Something..." I responded, she raised her eyebrows... "About something."
"Oh, that's really helpful."
"Great! You can help us..." Lucas called from the kitchen.

About an hour later, the three of us were sprawled across my bedroom floor surrounded by Music books, worksheets and way too many highlighters. Lucas was making it way more complicated than it was and Alana had repeated the same thing almost 7 times.
"Just write that on the sheet and be done with it," Alana sighed, pushing a text book in front of our faces.
She sat back against the end of my bed and got out her phone. I was just finishing copying out the last line when Lucas stood up and went out of the room. I looked up at Alana and we shrugged our shoulders.
"He's probably gone to get a drink," I said as I started packing up my books and pens.
A minute later Lucas ran into the room clutching a cushion in his hands and yelling like Tarzan. He whacked Alana over the head, making her phone drop out of her hands and onto the duvet.
"Harvey!" She shouted. Alana always referred to Lucas by his surname.... it had become her thing. Occasionally he'd try and return the favour, but it just didn't work as well.
"Ha. That'll teach you to be so anti-social..."
Alana picked up the cushion that was beside her and threw it back at him. He then shouted, "pillow fight!" causing all three of us to grab the cushions and pillows nearest to us and chuck them at each other. I own a lot of cushions. Unfortunately, most of them are kept on my bed... where Alana was. Alana kept hurling cushions at Lucas and I until she got to her last few, she then ran out of the room and we gathered all of my cushions into one corner of the room. Alana then came running back into the room, her hands full of my little brother's soft toys. Lucas and I looked at each other.
"Shit."
Heyy guys!
I hope you kind of understand the sort of relationship that ^these three^ have, now. Please let me know what you think...
