Alex's P.O.V
I was in the shower when the doorbell rang. And to make thing even worse, I'd literally just put on my shampoo.
"Shit. Really?"
The doorbell rang about another seven times while I frantically rubbed the foamy bubbles around my head, ending up with the majority of it in my eyes. I switched off the water and ran down the stairs, wrapping the towel around my waist on the way. I didn't need to push the net curtain out of the way to know that it was Lucas who was standing on the other side of the door.
"What took you so long? I swear I could've got hypothermia," He joked.
"What do you think?" I said, gesturing to my half naked body and wet hair.
"Whatever... aren't your parents home?"
"Nah, my Dad's at work and my Mum had some meeting to go to" I said rubbing my hair, only to end up with bubbles on my hands. Lucas laughed.
"Right... I'm gonna go sort myself out," I said, heading for the stairs. "Help yourself to whatever... you know where everything is. I'll be back in three."
Lucas and I had known each other since we were babies. He was two months older than me and about an inch taller. We went to the same primary and secondary school and were now both at the same sixth form as well. So basically, we'd spent our whole lives together.
I rinsed the shampoo out of my hair and threw on some jeans and a t-shirt. I heard Lucas' phone ring from downstairs, but he missed it.
"Damn," he cursed. I chuckled to myself and then my phone went off, telling me that I had a text.
Heyy!I have the day off so I was wondering whether I could meet up with you guys??Alana x
I thought she had school today... meh, things change.
Yeah, sure... Lucas is already here, so come round when you want!
I slid my phone into my pocket and went downstairs.
"Hey Lucas... Alana's gonna come round in a bit," I said, slouching onto the sofa next to him.
"Cool. She phoned me earlier."
"What did she say?" I asked.
"Oh... I missed it," he confessed. I slapped him on the head.
"You idiot."
"Hey..." he said, holding his hands up in defense, "I was in the middle of making a milkshake."
"Sure, whatever."
A few minutes later the doorbell rang and I stood up to get it. I opened the door and, as I'd expected, there stood Alana.
"Hey," she smiled, even though she was absolutely soaked from the rain.
"Hi, come in... you're drenched."
"I noticed," she replied sarcastically, a small grin spreading across her face.
"Anyway... hang your stuff up and come through."
I walked through to the living room and sat back down next to Lucas, who was on his phone. I reached into my back pocket and started scrolling through my newsfeed.
A minute later Alana ran into the room, vaulted the back of the sofa one-handed and landed on top of Lucas and I, managing to flick her wet hair in our faces and make both of us drop our phones.
"What the hell just happened?!" I exclaimed, in confusion.
"That will teach you not be so anti-social..." she chuckled.
"Actually, I was on social media. So-" Lucas argued.
"So you want me to do that again then," she interrupted.
"Yeah 'cause I love to have your wet hair flicked in my face as you do some triple somersault through Alex's front room..."
"Come on, you have to admit that that was pretty impressive..." Alana boasted, jokingly.
"It was..." I said, "but it's still not fun, having your rain soaked hair in our faces."
"Whatever you say losers," she teased.
Heyy guys!
So basically, I felt like starting a new story... so I did.
Sorry it was a short chapter :/
Anyway, hope you enjoyed it... More to come soon!
