Charlie's POV

I woke up and got a shower before getting ready for the day. I did my hair and makeup and pulled out my Bananas gear. I settled on my heathered navy EvoShield long sleeve shirt and some black skinny jeans with my heeled combat boots. I put jewelry on and I grab my purse. I went to the store and got some shopping done. I stopped at Panda Express for lunch and went home. I got the house cleaned up and started cooking. I put the garlic knots in the oven and Jayden walked inside wearing Tanner's jersey and some jeans.

"Is that gonna be your go-to game day fit," I ask, prepping the pulled pork.

"Maybe," she smirks.

I laugh and point to the barbacue sauce.

"Can you open that for me? My hands are covered in raw meat."

"Yeah. What else?"

"Can you get the crescent rolls out of the fridge?"

She nods and opens the sauce bottle and gets the crescent rolls out. I finish shredding the meat and dump the sauce on it. Jayden opens the crescent rolls and I put the pork on them. We roll them up and I pull the garlic knots out of the oven. Jayden puts the crescent rolls in the oven and I get started on the white pizza dip. We finish making the food and I turn the game on.

"So, we're not going to any games until Nashville," Jayden asks, dipping a garlic knot in the white pizz dip.

"I'm going to Vegas for my birthday and Dalton said you could come with," I say, eating a crescent roll.

"Sweet! That'll be a fun weekend."

"Yeah, plus Dalton's planning on releasing his next song that weekend."

"No way! Really?"

"Yeah, Dalton's gonna get you out there one way or another."

"I figured as much."

The game ends around nine and Jayden heads back to her dorm. I clean the kitchen and head to bed.

I wake up and get dressed in my green Comfort Colors shirt and some dark wash skinny jeans. I do my hair and makeup and stop at Starbucks on my way to class. I walk into the lounge and see Jayden talking on the phone. I hand her her coffee and sit on the couch. She hangs up and puts her phone in her bag.

"Tanner," I ask.

"Yeah. He wanted to talk before classes started today."

"What's going on with you guys anyways?"

"Um, we're not entirely sure yet. We've been talking for a while but I'm not sure if either of us are considering dinner in Savannah over Easter as our first date."

"Fair enough. Dalton and I went out a bunch of times before we actually started dating."

"Yeah, but part of me wants to take it slow and the other part doesn't."

"I get that. You haven't dated since him and that was sophomore year."

"Right. But Alyssa's happy I'm getting back out there. I talked to her about it last night."

"That's good. We're glad Tanner's getting back out there, too."

"Yeah, he mentioned that the other day when we talked."

We finish our coffees and head to class. Ater my final class of the day, I head to the campus store for my shift. I sit at the register with an AirPod in my ear with the game playing on my phone. The night was fairly slow and I was able to watch a majority of the game before my phone died. I went home and FaceTimed Dalton on my laptop while my phone charged.

"How was your day?"

"Alright. My phone ended up dying while the game was on and I missed the end of it."

"It wasn't much that you missed. I didn't play too hot tonight."

"That's fine. Mom needs to know by the end of the week when you're coming up for the ceremony."

"Tanner and I are coming up on the morning of the fifth. We got approval from Gillum and Jesse this afternoon."

"Sounds good. I'll pick you guys up when you land. We're doing a luncheon after the ceremony with my family and then brunch with Jayden's family the day after before you guys fly back to Savannah."

"Alright. And then the party is the first weekend of June when we play?"

"Yep. Mom's working on finding a caterer this weekend. The decorations are being ordered next week and we sent in my grad picture order form."

"Cool. The guys are really looking forward to it. And then Jay's birthday party is after the game on the second?"

"Yeah. We're gonna go to dinner and maybe line dancing after but she's not sure yet."

"Well, she has some time. Did you get your dress yet?"

"Not yet. I'm doing that this weekend. I got the shoes and accessories but we had to order my size. I'm picking it up on Friday before Jayden comes over to watch the game."

"Sounds good."

"Is Noah excited for this weekend?"

"His whole family is, but he's really looking forward to play with his brother again, even though they'll be on opposite teams."

"Well, Jayden and I will be watching. I probably won't be able to on Saturday since I'll be at my cousin's wedding."

"Right. Are you excited for that?"

"Sorta. Lots of my family still don't approve of the age gap, mainly my cousin's mom. She still thinks I should be with someone closer in age."

"Well, I'll be around a lot longer now that we're planning on getting married."

"Exactly. She's always been one to disapprove of the people the girls of the family were dating but not her daughter."

"Well, as long as your parents like me, that's all that matters."

"Yep. The only thing she likes about you is that you're an athlete and a musician. She thinks it's impressive you can handle both."

"Well, there's something."

"My cousin even had the DJ put some of your music on the playlist for the reception and my aunt thought that was amazing. She really seems to like your music."

"That's good. At least she's likes my music."

"Yeah, I guess that's a good thing. Alright, I have an early morning."

"Alright, get some rest. I love you."

"Love you, too."

I hang up and shut my laptop. I clean up some stuff and head to bed.
