A few weeks had passed by, and Muzan's condition was worsening rapidly.
He had bags under his eyes and would cough up blood clots. At this point, he was forbidden to leave his futon.
All his vitals were below average and his heart rate was deathly slow. Muzan didn't have much time.
Your father had just returned from his trip, and he looked to have high hopes with his new findings.
"How was your trip, father?" You asked as he hurriedly made his way towards the garden.
"Father? What's the rush?" You asked him as you followed him.
"I've found something I didn't even know existed." He said as he laid out a case on the desk in the garden.
He was eager to show you.
"What is it?" You asked.
He opened the case to reveal dried blue spider lilies.
"They're spider lilies, but blue." He seemed ecstatic with his findings.
"I've never heard of such a thing. I know there are spider lilies that appear to have a bluish hue to them, but these are electric blue." You said as you gazed down at them with fascination.
"I am just as shocked as you are." He said.
"I'm going to turn them into a brew at the Kibutsuji estate. I'm hoping this will help him... and not kill him." He mumbled that last part. He really had no idea how these flowers would do in the human body.
You followed your father to the estate where Muzan was resting.
When you arrived, your father went into a separate room to create his concoction as you went to see Muzan in his room.
"Muzan." You said as he was sitting on his bed, gazing at his garden as usual.
"Why are you sitting up? You should be laying down." You said as you knelt by his side.
"I've laid down all my life." He said. "It gets uncomfortable."
He looked at you and said "How were your father's travels?"
"Good! He's in the other room making you a brew using a new plant he discovered. It's a blue variant of spider lilies." You said.
He cocked his eyebrow out before going into a coughing fit.
You gasped and quickly tried to stabilize him.
"Are you okay?" You asked after his coughing subsided.
"I'm fine." He said after clearing his throat.
Muzan was sick of drinking these bitter medicinal brews. All these doctors failing him brought homicidal ideation in him.
