"Are you sure it was a good idea to do this, Zihan?" Li asked as they waited in a private room of your clinic.

It was the first day of experimentation, and Li was apprehensive.

"Why wouldn't we? Lady Dai is a well known wife to a nobleman. She's trustworthy. And, both of us are getting 900,000 yuan. We'd be stupid to not take this opportunity." Zihan responded.

Li shifted uncomfortably as you walked in and smiled.

"It's nice to meet you both."

The siblings both had black hair and fiery orange-red eyes. Zihan seemed to have dyed the tips of his hair orange.

They bowed in respect and said "Pleasure to meet you too, Lady Dai."

Both siblings blushed in your presence. You had become well liked and popular within the village, and they both were intimated by your power and beauty.

Their clothes were worn and you frowned.

A familiar feeling of pity washed over you. One you thought you had abandoned eight years ago back in your human form.

"I sense your uneasiness. Don't worry, I won't hurt you. I'll do my best to make sure my experiment is painless." You said.

"Lady Dai... this is for finding a cure to influenza, right?" Zihan asked.

"Of course. I've seen that infection take too many lives. I'm determined to cure it." You said.

They saw the needles and both of them grew tense.

"And each of us will get paid 900,000 yuan?" Li chimed in and asked.

"That's right." You said as you approached the siblings and asked "Which one wants to be pricked first?"

Li pointed to Zihan and he rolled his eyes. "Why do I have to be first?" He whined.

"Because you're the oldest." Li snickered.

He rolled his sleeve up and scoffed.

As you approached him, a calm smile on your face, he stopped you.

"Wait."

You lifted an eyebrow in curiosity.

"What's in the needle?" He asked.

"Ah, I forgot to tell you." You placed the syringe down and said "It's a mixture of different spider lily concentrates."

Li gave you a look of suspicion. "And how is that supposed to help cure influenza? How are you going to test on people who don't even have the virus?" She asked.
