After the incident with Yoriichi, you visited nightly when his parents were fast asleep to make sure everything was healing up right.

Yoriichi never really spoke, only sometimes around his brother, and each time you visited you noticed he was getting malnourished and you spotted bruises on his small body.

"Yoriichi-kun," You said.

He looked up at you and smiled.

"Did you and your brother play too hard again?" You asked.

He didn't say anything for awhile, but you still stood silent.

"...No." He managed to say.

A melancholy look was in Yoriichi's eyes as he spoke to you directly for the first time.

"Then where did these bruises come from?" You asked.

Yoriichi refused to speak, and stayed silent.

You understood that he wouldn't speak with you any further.

You treated Yoriichi's wound and new bruises.

"Have you and Michikatsu eatan?" You asked.

"He has."

"But have you?"

"No. Onii-san is treated differently." Yoriichi said.

A dark shadow cascaded over your face when you understood what was going on in the twins' household.

Yoriichi was treated differently by his mother and father.

"And why is that?" You asked.

"Because I have a birth mark on my head." He said.

You moved his bangs out of his face and looked at the birth mark on his head.

"But it's lovely." You said as you ruffled his head.

He smiled and blushed.

While in Japan, searching for a way to get in contact with the Demon Slayer Corps, you developed a close relationship with Michikatsu and Yoriichi.

You made sure they were being taken care of, Michikatsu was but Yoriichi usually wasn't.

You'd yourself would bring food and snacks to the twins, but sometimes Zihan and Li would.

A few years later, you had showed up one night on their tenth birthday.

Michikatsu seemed sad as you approached him outside of his home.

"Happy birthday." You said.

He didn't smile at you like he usually did.

"What's wrong, Michi?" Michi was a nickname you gave him.

"Yoriichi left. My dad sent him to a temple to become a monk... and my mom died earlier today."

You frowned softly and pet Michi's head comfortingly.
