"Take a look at the wall, Lilly. That's not graffiti, those are bullet holes. And we got enough arrow shafts sticking out of it to dry our laundry."
Y/N POV
It's been a week or so since I murdered those two people, that's what Carley told me, that I murdered them. After the deaths of the St. John's family, bandits attacked us during the day and night. They completely covered our walls with arrows. Unfortunately those dairy farmers were trading food with them, and now that they're gone... it made them all come at us.
Kenny gave me Mark's rifle, saying I was a better shot with a rifle than a pistol... somehow.
Anyways, Lee and Kenny went on a scout for some medicine and supplies. I offered some help due to Kenny's wound, but they denied me, saying I should hang out with the group, which is only Clem and Duck.
Honestly, I was a bit upset, but I do like to spend time with them. My relationship with Duck has been getting slightly better, he's not as annoying as before, but he's working on it. Lately, I've been noticing his new nightmares; he thinks he possibly killed Shawn, but... we don't know if he survived or not. I show pity every night when he wakes up screaming, but I don't want him to think that he's the one at fault.
Meanwhile, my relationship with Clem has been getting better... I guess. She's very nice but her personality gets me a bit flustered, I think that's why she always questions if I'm sick or if I'm okay because my face is always a bit red. I can't let her see me like this anymore, it's embarrassing.
Ben's been a very... awkward guy, I thought he was an adult, until he told me he was high school student, that's nice. Earlier he gave Clem some flower stickers for her walkie, It was cute.
Though recently I've noticed that Kenny's been planning to head on the road, possibly taking Lee and Clem.... In all honesty, I'm fine with anything Kenny suggests. To me, he's always right.
Anyways, after I murdered Lilly's father, she's become more distant, only having a conversation with Clem or Lee after he tried to defend him against Kenny. Every time Duck and I leave Clem alone, Lilly offers to join her in whatever she's doing, never sneaking a glance at me. I understand, I mean... I did murder the only person she had left. And... I did speak to her for a bit, even though I could tell she didn't want to speak with me. I had a conversation about my parents, and how we shared the same hurtful experience. After that, she did warm up to me for a bit, but not too much to call us friends, which is totally fine.
It has been an hour since Lee and Kenny left for downtown Macon, they should be back by now, it's nearly sundown. Lilly obviously isn't worried, she knows that they'll be back in one piece.
Since I was left with Duck and Clem, I started playing ball with them, Clem hates it when I always beat her. Meanwhile, Duck and I play like there's no tomorrow, we're practically professionals at this point. Clem wasn't interested in our game and started speaking with the unknown man on the walkie. I stopped playing, earning a sad expression from Duck, and walked over. I snatched the walkie out her hand, she gave me a look but I didn't care. I'm not about to let this man try to manipulate her.
???: "Clem?"
Y/N: "Hey. Missed me?" I almost let out a harsh voice.
???: "Oh, you're Clem's friend from that other day. How's it going?" I can tell he's smiling...
Y/N: "Where's her parents?"
???: "They're not here right now, sweetie."
I almost gagged at that nickname.
