"She's my sister, dickhead!"

Y/N POV

The sounds of the crows cawing wake me up as I stand and looking around. I hurriedly check my back to find my machetes and rifle are somehow still with me. I sigh some relief and in an instant, I spot Duck slowly waking up nearby and Clem lying on the river shore, possibly unconscious or... dead. I rush and kneel by her side, slightly shaking her.

Y/N: "Clem? Clementine wake up."

She quietly groans before slowly opening her eyes and sitting up. Duck walks over as I breathe a sigh of relief.

Y/N: "Thank God."

Duck: "She's alive." He kneels by me.

Clem doesn't respond and stares at me before slapping the shit out of me. I swear I saw the light. I hold my cheek and look at her in disbelief.

Clementine: "If you do that again!"

Y/N: "You'll kill me, I know the drill." I slightly wince, still holding my cheek.

Clementine: "Quit doing that shit!" She yells with... tears in her eyes? Motherfucker.

Y/N: "We would've died, Clem.... And you know that."

Clementine: "What if we died when you pushed us in the river? What then?"

Y/N: "Then I would've died with you. Easy."

She stares at me with rage in her eyes. I scooch out of her reach to make sure she doesn't slap me again.

Duck: "There goes Y/n, making reckless decisions." He stands up with a sigh.

Y/N: "What would've you done, Duck?" I glare at him.

Duck: "...maybe that as well."

Y/N: "Great. We're on the same page." I stand up, watching as Clem does too.

Duck: "Now where in the tarnation are we?" He looks around, mimicking a country accent.

Clem and I look around as well, but I watch as she shivers... I forgot we're soaked.

Y/N: "Duck, how's your clothes?"

Duck: "They're wet, but it shouldn't be a bother." He takes off his jacket and rings it out.

Y/N: "Are you okay, Clem?"

Clementine: "Yeah, your jacket is dry. That's enough for me."

I nod and follow as Duck takes the lead onto the shoreline, then we find a broken wooden-staircase that leads to the river.

Duck: "We have to jump. Need any help?" He looks back at us, knowing we're smaller.

Clementine: "We got it."

Duck: "If you say so." He jumps and climbs to the top of the staircase.

Clem also jumps and climbs, but it takes me a few minutes before following her. Duck continues to take the lead and we follow him as he goes deeper into the unknown forest, the only sounds that can be heard are the mate calls of the birds. The silence of forever walking gets the better of me as I start to shiver.
