Confliction and Reunion

"We're not siblings."

2nd Person

You and Clem run through the woods till morning. When you finally arrive to the house, you lean over to catch your breath, your knees shaking from being overused.

Clementine, surprisingly, has enough energy to run in the house as you exhaustively follow. She bursts through the kitchen side door, spotting Rebecca and Carlos waiting at the dinner table.

Carlos: "Clementine, are you alright?" He looks at the door, only seeing you, "Luke's not with you?"

Rebecca quickly stands up, a hint of fear and worry in her eyes.

Rebecca: "Where's Alvin?!"

And where's Duck?

Y/N: "How are we supposed to know?" You hold your hands up slightly.

Carlos: "Wh-What do you mean? What happened?" He walks over to you, "It's been hours. Where are they?!"

Rebecca: "Y/n!"

Why me...

Y/N: "I told you! I don't know! All I know is we got attacked! Nick, Duck, Clem, Pete, and me."

Rebecca: "By who?!"

Clementine: "Walkers."

Rebecca: "Jesus..." She cries.

Clementine: "We all got split up. Y/n and I were with Pete, but..."

Carlos: "My god."

Rebecca: "Where were you? Where were you exactly?!" She walks closer to Clementine.

Y/N: "We weren't too far from the river."

Clementine: "It was just down the stream."

Rebecca: "We gotta go!" She turns to Carlos.

Carlos: "Just hold on a minute."

Rebecca: "My husband is still out there. Get. The. Guns."

The man quickly looks down to think before running out the room, Rebecca turns to you and Clem.

Rebecca: "Luke and Alvin went out looking for you. I told them not to go," Her voice breaks on the last bit. "Damnit, Luke."

Carlos comes running back with a rifle and pistol, handing the rifle to Rebecca who quickly snatches it and walks out the door.

Carlos: "Clementine, Y/n, can you... can you please watch Sarah? She's upstairs... just distract her. And don't tell her anything! She gets... nervous."

Clementine: "Just go. Hurry."

Carlos: "You'll be safe inside. Just don't open the doors for anything. We'll be back soon." He finally leaves.

...

Y/N: "Hm, side quest: protect Sarah," You joke.
