It is now early in the morning. Pete and Nick woke the three of you for some early catching, offering to take you to the river. You and Duck practically drooled over the thought, but Clem didn't care. Duck handed you back your weapons despite how badly he wanted to keep it.
Pete: "How y'all holding up? I heard you got an earful from Rebecca last night. Once she gets going there's no bringing her back. Her bark's worse than her bite."
Y/N: "Funny," You scoff.
Clementine: "She's mean," She nudges you. "I don't like her."
Duck: "She's more like a bitch," He says under his breath.
Pete: "She did come on a little strong."
Y/N: "Yeah, just a little bit," You say sarcastically.
Pete notices this but only nods. Clementine becomes intrigued and catches up to Pete's side.
Clementine: "How far are these fish traps?"
Pete: "It ain't much further."
As Pete and Clementine continue to talk about some gun topics, Duck nudges your arm.
Y/N: "What?"
Duck: "So, are you just gonna stand here and wait a millions years till you're dead or are you gonna confess?" He whispers.
Y/N: "Confess what...? My sins?" You whisper back.
Duck: "You're a dumbass," He groans.
Y/N: "I have the certificate."
Duck: "I'm serious. Are you gonna do it or not?"
Y/N: "I will, eventually... I promise," You hesitate.
Duck: "When's 'I will'?"
Y/N: "When I have the chance?" You shrug, raising an eyebrow.
Duck being Duck, he looks up to the sky and claps his hands together, almost like he's praying.
Duck: "Please, lord. Give my sister a chance at confessing!"
In which he is...
Y/N: "Shut the fuck up!" You rush to him and cover his mouth as the two turn around.
Clementine: "What happened?"
Y/N: "Nothing!"
They give you another weird look before turning back around. You let go of Duck and glare at him as he laughs.
Y/N: "Duck, I swear."
Duck: "It's funny!" He continues to laugh.
Y/N: "It's not.... You're such a dick."
While Duck continues to laugh, you walk ahead to keep up with Pete and Clementine. Just a few meters behind, Nick rushes over.
