"Could you just shut the fuck up and listen for once?"
1st Person
Not too long after Sarah's screams faded, I hesitantly let go of my brother, trusting him to not do anything rash. Which thankfully, he didn't.
It took both Jane and Luke to lift Duck's spirits, though it was only enough for him to be functionally thinking.
The rest of the thirty-minute travel back to the park was silent, only some small conversations between Jane and Luke about their past experiences of family and friends being separated or killed.
By the time we came back, Christa and Bonnie were leading Rebecca towards our direction after spotting the group, while Mike was crossing his arms in uneasiness. But his expression changed to a relieved one when he heard our footsteps from behind, instantly gazing at Luke first.
Mike: "Son of a bitch. You found 'em!"
Luke: "Yeah, I'm a little amazed myself, to tell you the truth. If it wasn't for these four, well.. I don't know what would've happened."
Rebecca: "Wait. Where's Sarah?" She asked, the other two women holding each side of her. "And... Nick?"
My brother and I refused to answer, avoiding the pregnant woman's eyes. Honestly, it was mainly not stress her out more than she already was. Her baby was near, and she needed rest.
Luke: "Uh, Rebecca," He sighed. "How about we go for a walk for a minute?"
As Luke took her away, Christa turned to the three of us, including Bonnie.
Christa: "I— well we— need to borrow you three, right now."
We only took a few steps away from Luke and Rebecca, faintly hearing her cries of grief from the news of Nick and Sarah, before Bonnie began.
Bonnie: "We ain't gonna sugarcoat this. That baby's coming even faster than Rebecca's letting on. But we was hoping you might know..."
Christa: "Can one of you talk to Kenny?"
Y/N: "Why Kenny?" I raised an eyebrow.
Christa: "He's the only one here who has a family, you and Duck."
My brother and I shared a look, one that said 'You?'
Duck: "I don't think wants to talk to me. At all," He said to Christa,
And everyone looked at a certain direction.
Y/N: "Why is it always me?"

After Christa gave me a little hindsight, I found myself standing at the entrance of the tent Kenny snuck off to. I didn't want to speak with him, especially since his lover had just died, but I also didn't want my girlfriend... still not used to it. I didn't want Clementine to do it, even if she was always better at talking than me.
With a final sigh, I brushed the fabric of the tent aside, peeking in to see Kenny's back turned my direction, his legs crossed beneath him as he sat in silence.
