How Dark Sonic could've worked in Sonic Prime Season 3

Help from the Council

(This chapter starts off as Sonic is given help by the Chaos Council from in Episode 2 of the third season.)

Sonic was worried about what the Grim Birdie's will do to him.

"Hey, bird brains. Get off my lawn!" Dr. Done-It said, aiming his weaponized cane at them.

"Huh?" Sonic said, in confusion.

It was then the rest of the Chaos Council *Except for Dr. Don't* dropped in to help. The council rushed in to fight. Dr. Done-It blasted the Grim Birdies, but it had no effect. Babble grabbed one of them and slammed it to the ground. Dr. Deep clashed with another one using his samurai swords.

"This is where you thank us, you miserable rodent." Dr. Done-It said.

"You're helping me?" Sonic said, surprised.

"Helping? More like using. We need your energy." Dr. Deep replied.

"For what?" Sonic asked.

"We'll talk later." Dr. Deep said. "Plus, if we don't stop this crazy fox, New Yoke City and us won't be around much longer."

One of the buildings in the city began to decay. Babble and Eggman continued to hold the Grim Birdies off. Dr. Don't saw this from the mothership window.

"Heh. Cool." Dr. Don't said.

Nine appeared in New Yoke in transmission. 'I have no idea what it's called. Sorry.'

"You're only drawing things out." Nine said. "There's nothing you can do to stop me."

The Alpha Grim Birdie screeched out at them.

"Oh, really?" Eggman said.

"I can't believe I'm saying this, but Chaos Council, let's go bash some birds." Sonic said.

"Behind me simpleton." Eggman said, pushing Sonic behind him. "I'm the leader here."

"Au contraire, Doctor. I clearly lead this multitude." Dr. Deep said.

'I know Eggman's Chaos Council variant is known as Mr. Dr. Eggman, but I just prefer to call him Eggman either way.'

A Chaos Lance beam fired near them to stop their argument. They yelped in fear, and turned towards Sonic, who was in his dark form yet again.

"Next time, I'm not gonna miss. Stop arguing about who's in charge!" Sonic said, furiously. "We have some belligerent bird bots to bash."

The council charged in. Deep threw a couple shurikens at one of them, but the bot dodged them, and again from a second set.

"Hold still, you confounded cockatoo." Dr. Deep said.

"I got 'em!" Sonic flew up, gripping the bot by its head. "Take it out, Deep!"

Dr. Deep tossed another set of them, and it was a direct hit. The bot was taken out.

"Nice shot." Sonic said.

"Indeed, it was." Dr. Deep said, then aiming sword at Sonic. "And now for another."

"We're on the same side right now, remember?" Sonic said, a bit nervous.

"Old habits." Dr. Deep said, before flying off.

"Understandable." Sonic shrugged, and went back to the fight.

Two of the bots remained. One of the clones and the alpha. Eggman grabbed the remaining Grim Birdie by it's legs, and slammed it toward Sonic. He used his Chaos Spear with his dark power, sending it back to Eggman, in which he punched it up into the sky. Dr. Babble sent it right back down, before body-slamming it out of commision.

"Just one left." Sonic said.

Dr's Babble and Done it surrounded it.

"Age before baby." Dr. Done-It said, charging up.

Alpha Grim Birdie squawked at Dr. Done-It, which scared him. It charged at Dr. Babble, knocking his mech on its back. Sonic flew in, and kicked it away. Alpha Grim Birdie screeched again, before getting blasted by the council. The council and Sonic fired at full power, knocking him down.

"That one was mine. I saw my shot hit it first." Dr. Done-It said.

"Oh, please." Eggman said, amused. "With your eyes, you couldn't hit the ground if it weren't for gravity."

Sonic groaned in frustration. But the Alpha Grim Birdie wasn't done yet. It squawked at them before flying out of New Yoke.

"It got away." Sonic said, before reverting back to his neutral form.

Sonic fell on one knee, not feeling as exhausted. The de-stabilization process got worse, as the glow on Sonic's arm spread through his whole arm, and his hand under his glove. Even a little on some of his head quills. Nine's transmission was starting to cut out.

"No. Not yet." Nine said, worried. "Not again."

Nine's transmission cut out completely. Sonic was shocked to find out his power still isn't fully stable.

"Come back, coward. We are not done." Eggman said.

"It looked to me like he didn't want to go." Sonic said. "I think his powers are on the fritz."

"How? If he's managed to complete the prism, he should have nearly unlimited power." Dr. Deep said.

"He still needs the prism energy inside me." Sonic said. "I'm Nine's prime target."

"Huh?" The council was confused.

"When I first originally broke the prism, I absorbed some of its energy. And Nine blasted me with negative energy before he left with all of the remaining shards." Sonic explained. "Nine was trying to get me stuck in a loop like my real friends in Ghost Hill. Only it seems to have connected with my dark powers. Which you've all just seen me use in battle."

"Oohhh." The council said, in realization.

"Anytime I use them with the negative energy, the current prism energy that's adapted to my body will slowly become more unstable. And it's already spread up my whole left arm." Sonic continued.

"We'll run a scan to see what we're working with when we're inside." Dr. Deep said.

"Okay." Sonic nodded, clutching his arm.

Sonic and the council went inside to check the blue hedgehog's condition, and to let his friends and all of the allies of the resistance in for sanctuary.

'Hey, everyone! I'm finally back with another part to this story. Even though Sonic Prime S3 has been out for a couple weeks, I still have much work to do. It's coming little by little. But as well with Side Order coming out in February, this progress will probably be coming slower. But I assure you, I will get this all down. Trust me.'
