'Vacations are never long enough.' Beyoncé thought to herself as she heard Jay turn off his alarm. They had been back from Cannes for a few weeks and it felt like they never even left, although they spent the entire summer there. School had started back up and they were both back to work now. Jay sprung from bed like it was nothing and began to get ready for his day after kissing his wife's half sleeping lips. He'd been preparing for a big case lately and wanted to get a head start on his day.

Just as B finally decided she was ready to get out of bed, Jay was dressed and ready to go. "I didn't wake the kids up." He told her quietly. "I'll see you at work, my heart. I love you so much."

B pulled him into a tight hug and he placed a kiss on her forehead. "Okay. I love you, too. Be safe, baby."

After Jay left, B knew she had to get the kids up because they took even longer than her to get ready in the mornings. "JJ!" She called, peaking her head into his room. "Wake up, baby." He only groaned in response. "Get up!" She said again on her way out. She went to wake up her girls, too and to no surprise, Rumi was the only one already awake. She was an early bird just like her father.

"Hi, mommy." She whispered, she had just been lying in bed playing with her favorite stuffed shark. B whispered a 'good morning' back to her and held her arms out. Rumi jumped up and practically ran to her mother's arms.

"How did you sleep, baby?" She asked sweetly. Rumi always said that she slept well and B was jealous of that, kids had the luxury to have no worries. "Brush your teeth, then put on your clothes. I'll come back and fix your hair once I get breakfast started." They went their separate ways and B reminded Blue and JJ both that it was time to wake up. Blue immediately got up and started to get ready.

"Mommy," Blue said once she appeared in the kitchen.

"Good morning, pretty girl." She smiled. "What's up?"

"I can't find my pink skirt." Blue frowned.

"Oh! It's in the laundry room. I'll have it washed and dried tonight. I'm sorry, baby. You can wear it tomorrow." Blue nodded and headed back upstairs to finish getting dressed in her backup outfit.

B finished up with breakfast and headed upstairs because she needed to get ready, too. "Blue, Rumi, breakfast is on the table." She said to them. "JJ!" She called when she saw he was still in bed, she walked all the way into his room this time and nudged him. "Get up, so you can eat before school." B had already picked out her clothes last night, so she just needed to throw them on. She did only a little bit of makeup before going back down the stairs. She was beyond tired already and her day had just begun. It was her life as a mom of three now.

She stood behind Rumi while she ate and began to brush her hair up. "One puff or two?" B asked. Thankfully, Rumi only wanted one puff and it was easy. Now that the three of them were ready, B looked at the time again and realized her son was not.

She groaned. "Jay, it's time for school!" B frustratingly yelled up the stairs for the third time. He had just got into the bad habit of ignoring her and trying to get every ounce of sleep that he could until he decided it was time to get up. B would be lying if she said that it hadn't started to irritate her. She was her own boss now, so it didn't matter if she was late, but that didn't mean that she liked being late. The three of them sat on the couch as they waited. After another two minutes of her staring at the stairs went by, she went back to the bottom to yell upstairs again. "Jay, you have ten seconds before I am officially pissed off and have to come up there to get you!" She yelled. She looked behind her and saw Blue smirking. "It's not funny." She said with an eye roll. "Your brother gets on my last nerve."

B finally began to hear movement upstairs. "Good morning." JJ mumbled as he came down the stairs with his book bag on his shoulder less than five minutes later.
