{At The Bowers House}
After leaving the clubhouse in the middle of a complete downpour, I practically rushed home with my drenched clothing clinging to my entire body, droplets of rain falling from the ends of my hair, speeding down the road on my bike with a tiny smile of freedom on my lips. After the library, Patrick had a family thing which was amazing for him, considering he usually doesn't do anything with his parents. But man, If only I knew exactly what this family thing was.

"Thank fuck Leslie! Where have you been?! Dad was about to tear me apart for not knowing where you were." Henry greeted me with his usual remarks and intimidating tone as I parked my bike in my usual spot against the house, noting the Hockstetter's vehicle parked in our driveway. My eyes widened in confusion, but fear coursed throughout my entire body.

"What's going on? Why are the Hockstetter's here?" He stopped me before we could enter the house, making sure the door was firmly closed in fear of dad hearing our conversation.

"It was a last minute thing. Patrick's mom heard about everything with our mom and decided to bring us by dinner. Although we don't fucking need that pity shit as far as I'm concerned. Dad doesn't know.... So don't give him any reason to suspect a thing. Got it?" I simply nodded like an obedient puppy listening to their master, the utter fear I was consumed by paralyzing me. He rolled his eyes with a huff before dragging me into the house by my arm, terrified Mrs. Hockstetter would give it away. But once i assed the room, judging by the rare smile on dads face, I knew she hadn't said a word. And hopefully wouldn't.

"Leslie! Darling it's so good to see you. I can't believe how grown up you're getting." I narrowed my eyes in complete confusion from the words Mrs. Hockstetter uttered before dragging me into a massive hug.

"I didn't tell your father honey. I know how he is...." I breathed a sigh of relief before she let me go, a gentle smile appearing on my face now that the tension had eased in my body. She always knew about the abuse my father would inflict because of my mom. They were really close once.

"She is a beauty." My eyes went wider than you could ever imagine from the words that left Patrick's lips, my dad seemingly not hearing it considering he was too busy talking with Mr. Hockstetter. Patrick simply winked at me, his little smirk toying with me more than he could dream of. Henry punched his arm and sent a little laugh from my lips that really eased me down.

"Thank you...." I mouthed to Mrs. Hockstetter, seeing the genuine grin she gave me in return. I simply surveyed the entire event going on in front of me as one by one, Vic and Belch arrived to join the little party dad seemed completely different during. The guys eventually went outside to start a little bonfire in the backyard because dad hardly ever comes back there unless it's a weekend. We usually drink or smoke the nights away when he's in bed, letting loose from the stress of living in this damn hellhole. I eventually ventured my way out there to join them once I made more small talk with Mrs. Hockstetter, eyeing Patrick in his usual attire like he was the prince of darkness himself. His little smirk played on his lips the moment he saw me staring, biting his lip in an attempt to toy with me, as usual.

"Hey boys! Mind if I join?" Vic patted a spot in between him and Patrick, and i immediately sat down, pulling out my usual pack of cigs that Bev was the best about getting to me when needed. I lit one up from the fire raging in the pit Henry and I built so long ago, just enjoying the crackling of the wood, jokes the guys would make and usual banter between them. But all and all, Henry seemed..... happy. He wasn't his usual serious self tonight. But, the old Henry was all i saw. I just wish it would last.

"You look so edible right now. I might have to heat you up over the fire." I rolled my eyes from Patrick's attempt at flirting, his whispered words into my ear, in such an odd way, turning me on.

"No need Patty. Keep fucking around out here and you won't get none anyway." He suddenly nipped at my ear in such a way that I had to hold back a moan, knowing Henry would just loooove that.

"Keep on messing with me and it won't be pretty for you." His eyes greeted mine once we pulled apart and I could see the flame within them. He was roaring to go, and he wouldn't be waiting much longer. He didn't care who was here, if he had to take me out into the wooded area around the house, then so be it.

"Maybe that's my plan. Drive you absolutely mad." I smirked at him with our knees bumping together over and over again, and just that mere touch was enough to drive us both up the wall, the tension between us completely consuming me.

"I don't care if your big bad bubby is here, i will sling you over my shoulder, walk right out into those woods, and fuck you senseless. Do you understand?" All I could do was look at him in awe, not surprised, but wanting it more than anything. I was compelled to think of all the things he would do to me. And it was enough to cause a reaction in my core that was just driving me absolutely mad. Our whole conversation was whispered so the others wouldn't hear, but Vic knew.

"You two are in your own little world over here." I chuckled once Patrick slung his arm over my shoulders in an attempt to draw me closer, the distraction of tonight the best thing i needed right now.

"The best one." Vic nudged me with a knowing smile, the conversation just flowing as the night raged on, happy that our dad never once came out here. This was the perfect distraction from the harsh reality facing us later, something I never wanted to see, or do.
