Chapter thirteen

The sun lounges on the window aesthetically which made me smile. Tamang-tama ang init ng araw ngayong umaga at hindi gaano kainit para sumakit ang ulo ko.

Waking up and having a large sum of smile conquering my lips became my habit. Ang sarap pala sa pakiramdam nang hindi mo na kailangan magtago o magpigil ng nararamdaman. Acknowledging my feelings is something to be proud of.

"Good morning," I greeted the girl who has a special place in my heart. She was sitting on her usual sit kapag nag breakfast kami. At katulad ng usual niyang binibigay ay ganoon pa rin ang binigay niya sa akin, matamis na ngiti.

May dalawa ng pares ng cutlery ang nasa mesa. There are fried slices of bacon, eggs- the sunny side up one that I prefer, fried rice that has plenty of garlic that also fits my liking, and a cup of coffee.

"You cooked?" I asked because she isn't one.

She pouted and pursed her lips after. "I let Yaya Rosie cook our breakfast. Pinahatid ko siya sa driver here and she cooked us our breakfast."

I chuckled because I could see how embarrassing it was for her, so I sat on my usual chair and dug in. Ako na ang nagkusang naglagay ng fried rice sa pinggan niya bago ko lagyan ang sarili kong plato.

"Sana hinintay mo na ako magising. I can cook naman, besides nakakahiya sa maid ninyo."

She shrugged her shoulders. "She's kind. She became our second mom." She sighed as she put her utensils down. "She wanted to meet you, sayang lang sleep ka pa kanina."

I stopped myself from eating and looked at her, asking her to go on.

"She was the one who took care of me and ate when our parents were busy because of the company. She is also the one attending to my needs." She has her usual smile yet, the tone of her voice changed, like she was now trying to sound okay.

I bit my lowerlip secretly and took my eyes on my plate, thinking what things to do to lift her mood up.

"May gagawin ka ba mamaya?" she glanced in my direction before shaking her head.

She pursed he flips sideward, thinking before looking at me. "Wala naman. Why mo na-ask?"

"Wanna catch a movie?" I am trying my best not to slap myself because of that question. Ano 'yon? Sa akin ba talaga nanggaling 'yong tanong na 'yon?

Shit! Is it too directed? Am I too fast? My god, Cade!

'You are just trying to lift up the mood, Cade. It's okay,' I self- comfort myself.

Self-comfort my ass!

"Hmm." she was flustered. I know she was shocked.

"Like I said, I like you and I want to court you."

"Wait!" She closed her eyes and I can see how she tried to calm herself, breathing exercise based sa paggalaw ng chest niya. "Let me breathe, muna. I'm not prepared for this."

I let my tongue roll on my cheeks to prevent myself from laughing.

She is cute, very alluring indeed.

The minutes passed by and I let her think about my invitation. She was biting her lips while having her brows furrowed and looking straight at me.

She was literally gawking my every move, kaya natatawa akong napapsiling.

This girl! Really? Are you now planning on how to say yes?

"I won't ask you to be my girlfriend, yet. Like I said, I want to take it seriously."
