Chapter 2: Never there

Both Megatron and Optimus searched the woods as Bumblebee trained the Terrans as StarScream was flying over them. Twitch and Thrash both were still curious about who Illusion was. "Bee, do you mind telling us who exactly is Illusion?" Bumblebee paused, thinking to himself. "|Well-|" "She was my best friend when she was a decepticon and Bee's best friend when she sided with the Autobots." Bumblebee looks back at him, seeming annoyed. "|To be exact, she was a Decepticon before changing sides when she came to Earth.|" Twitch and Thrash looked at each other and sat down. "Tell us more." Thrash asked, excited.

Optimus and Megatron were searching the woods for any kind of trace from Illusion. "How can we be sure that she even saw her?" Megatron asked, seeming tired with this search. "Do you know any other Cybertronian that's joined the Autobots and Decepticons?" "Well- there's KnockOut and -" "That's a femme." Megatron grumbled to himself as he continued walking around. "This is just a wild goose chase. Don't you think she'll even be happy to see us both?" Megatron looked back at Optimus. Optimus sighs as he sits down. "But she's still our sister... That can never change." "Unless she disowns us both." "MEGATRON!!!" They hear rustling noises coming their way, specifically near a bush. They both look at each other and back at the bush. "Hi." Nightshade's head popped out of the bush. "What the- What are you doing here?" Megatron asked. "I was just looking around for inspiration for my next invention." They said. "It's getting late. You should come with us." Nightshade nodded as they followed behind Megatron and Optimus.

Bumblebee and StarScream were telling stories about the terrans as Optimus and Megatron came back with Nightshade. "What are you guys doing exactly?" Optimus asked. "|We're just telling stories about Illusion and-|" "Twitch asked us how she got her cannon arm, in other words, Hazard." Megatron looks at Optimus as he looks back at him. "Hazard was a gift from us both. Back on Cybertron." Optimus said. "Ever since she lost her arm due to a gladiator fight, she been upset for a long time." Optimus sighs as he remembers how Illusion was so upset. "We found a minicon that was looking for an owner, and we decided to give her to Illusion. She sort of replaced her arm by turning into a cannon." Megatron stated. "It kind of gave her an advantage during battle." Optimus stated afterward. "Now I feel very sure that who I saw is actually Illusion because she had a cannon for arm and the minicon deattach from her." The Autobots now seem more concerned now. "Did she point the cannon at you directly in the face?" "Yes?" "|Yup, that's her.|" Nightshade tapped Megatron, wanting to get his attention. "What kid?" "What was the name of the minicon?" "Hazard. Why?"

A few nights ago, Nightshade was doing some midnight exploring when a minicon fell on their head. "Ow!" They rubbed their helm as the minicon was dusting herself. "Who are you?" Nightshade asked. "[Hazard. Now out of the way, kid.]" Hazard walked past them, seeming to be looking around frantically. "Are you lost?" Hazard glares at them. "[I'm a minicon who's capable of finding her way around this dump.]" She looks around before looking back at Nightshade. "[I'm lost.]"

"I took her to where she needed to be and said my goodbyes to her." Nightshade finished their story as the others listened quietly. "|....where exactly did you take her to?|"

Hazard was doing a quick scan before jumping back on Illusion and turning into a cannon. Illusion looked around the place where Soundwave and Megatron had their fight. She slid down the ditch as she looked around. She pointed her cannon arm up and shot to the sky. "《Let's see if they show up.》" She leans against the rocky wall, waiting for both of them to show their pathetic faces. She waits until she sees two familiar jets moving in. She crosses her arms, seeing Soundwave land in front of her as StarScream lands a bit far behind him. "/you?/" Soundwave seems a bit disappointed. He expected Megatron but not her. Soundwave looked over at StarScream, also seeming surprised. "/I thought you were/" "《Destroyed? You should know me better than that...》" She aimed her at cannon at him and StarScream. "What are you doing!?" StarScream yelled. "《Starting a war between us again.》" She hears Optimus and Megatron sliding down the ditch, standing behind her not that far. "《 And finishing my revenge...》" She pulls out her sword in front of them. "Illusion. You don't have to do this!" Optimus yelled. "/Come back with us!/" Soundwave yelled. "I want my best friend back!" StarScream pleaded. Illusion look back at them at back at her brothers. "《And leave me to rot later?》" She spoke. "《Never.》" She shots at both Soundwave and StarScream. Both of them quickly moved out of the way, as Megatron aimed his cannon at Illusion. The blast hits her on her shoulder, causing Illusion to fall on her side. "《Was that even your best shot!?》" She glares at Megatron. "I don't want to hurt you, but you leave me no choice!" Megatron prepared to fire again. "《I thought you and Prime wanted to protect Cybertron, but you turned your back on your home for some humans...》" She spat back. "These humans deserved to be protected!" Optimus yelled. Illusion laughed behind her battle mask as she held her sword. "《Those 'worthy' humans tried to capture me a few weeks ago. Had to leave a drastic scene when I was done with them.》" She smiled to herself, remembering how easy humans can get crushed. "《Of course, don't forget about your humans and the terrans.》" She yelled back. Optimus glared at her, still in a fighting stance. "Don't bring them in this conversation." She ignores him. "《Wonder what you'll do to them once they're no longer useful? Kill them? Harvest them for spare parts? Doesn't matter, I'll take them in...》" Soundwave pounces on Illusion, trying to impale her with her own sword. "《Where did your loyalty go Soundwave?》" "/my loyalty left the minute you left the Decepticons./" Soundwave pushed her back, holding her sword now. "《So what we had was nothing!? Who was there for you when Rumble died!? Who was there for you to wipe your tears!? WHO WAS THERE FOR YOU!? ME!!!》" Illusion ran straight at him, taking her sword. She had her sword up his neck as they both were on the ground.
