Chapter 12: Pain

First, it was quiet.

Now, she felt pain.

Illusion gripped her chassis as she fell to the ground after she heard a gunshot from the woods. Soundwave followed as well, feeling as if something hit him in the helm, followed by fear. Soundwave knew well what this meant. His cassette.... his cassette was feeling fear and was hurt. He got up quickly, running towards the woods as Illusion was holding her chassis in pain. "|ILLUSION!|" Bumblebee ran next to her, the terrans following behind him. "Bee, what's wrong with her!?" Twitch asked. "|I don't know.|" Illusion felt energon lubricant falling down her face as she tried gripping her chassis. She felt pain. She felt so much pain. She doesn't know where the pain is coming from. She looked around. Where was Hazard? She felt her spark drop. She can't. NO, she can't be. She got up quickly and ran where Soundwave went. Bee tried to grab her, but she pushed him down and ran into the woods. "|Illusion!|" Bumblebee cried out as Illusion disappeared through the trees. "|Kids! Stay in the barn! I'm sending a message to Prime to look after you. I have to follow them!|" Bumblebee ran into the woods before the kids could protest. Bumblebee caught up with Illusion, who was running around frantically into the woods. They both stopped as they heard soft whimpers and cries nearby. They followed the sound and found Soundwave crying into his servos, covering his face. Bumblebee ran over to him, putting his servo on his shoulder. Soundwave turned his helm towards him before gripping onto his chassis, crying. "|Soundwave, what's-|" "/they took her.../" Soundwave spoke, hiccups following. "/..th- they... took my frenzy... Bee, they took her away from me!/" Soundwave cried out before burying himself back to cries and sobbing. Bumblebee tried comforting him before looking over at Illusion. Illusion seemed to be looking around frantically. "《Wh- where's Hazard...?》" Illusion looked around for her beloved minicon, still feeling her spark in pain. Bumblebee looked around before seeing a trail of energon slipping through the cracks of the dried dirt. "|Illusion...|" Illusion turns to him, seeing him point towards the small trail of energon. Illusion followed it until her optics laid on her minicon's frame, leaning against a tree. There was a giant hole where her spark chamber would be. Illusion stared at the body, feeling tears beginning to leak out of her optics. "《no... no no no no no no》" Illusion ran over to her minicon, slumping next to her frame. She picked up the delicate broken frame, her tears staining her minicon's broken visor. 《Hazard! You can't.... you can't be dead. HAZARD!!! HAZARD, WAKE UP!!!》" Illusion held her beloved minicon's frame towards her, her only servo holding Hazard by her back, her frame pressed against Illusion's chassis. "《no.... NO... "Megatron. Stay with the terrans!" Prime ran into the woods, not hearing his brother's protest. He ran into woods until he saw Bumblebee holding Soundwave, who was crying into his chassis. "Bee, what happened!? Where's Illusion!?" Bumblebee stared down, closing his optics as he pointed towards where Illusion was. Prime followed the direction he pointed towards, finally finding his sister. But what he saw was not something he'd ever see her sister be in a million years....

Illusion.

His sister...

Illusion was crying, her only servo holding Hazard's frame close to her. She looked up towards Optimus, her optics drenched in lubricants. "《Prime....》" She looked away, still crying, and she held what was left her beloved minicon. Optimus lowered himself next to her, his hands seeming hesitant to try wrapping her in a hug. She held Hazard's frame closer to her chassis, trying to feel anything left of her spark.

She felt nothing....

Frenzy woke up in a cell, a light reflecting off her visor. She looked around, 3 steel walls around her with an electromagnetic wall facing her. "What the-" She quickly remembered what happened, her last memory being Hazard being shot. She tried banging against the electromagnetic wall but was immediately electrocuted. "Scrap-" She tried looking out but her vision was limited. There were other cells outside, one cell right next to hers and more above. She saw someone else in another cell. "HEY!" She yelled out. The other figure moved, trying to look outside. "What the- BREAKDOWN!" She was completely confused to see Breakdown, also captured. "What the- Frenzy!? How are you here???" He yelled out. Before she could answer, another yell was heard right above her cell. "Who the frag is yelling!?" Frenzy looks up, her visor reflecting someone she thought died a long time ago. "Arachnid...? I thought you were dead or something???" Arachnid rolled her optics as she sat back down in her cell. "Surprising..." She groaned. "What the heck are you doing here? I thought Soundwave was responsible, not careless..." Frenzy grumbled, sitting down. "He wasn't irresponsible. Maybe once but that's it...." Arachnid looked down, knowing Frenzy was referring to Rumble's death. Or so they thought.... "Actually, your carrier was never irresponsible..." Arachnid said. Frenzy looked up, glaring at her. "Oh really!? Are you sure you even KNOW what happened to my-" "Brother???" Arachnid said. Frenzy glared at her, seeming upset. "Frenzy, you don't know?" Breakdown called out. Frenzy turns her helm towards Breakdown, seeming more confused. "What are you both talking about!?" Frenzy yelled out. Breakdown looked towards Arachnid, who seemed uncomfortable. "Rumble.... Rumble is..."

Starscream arrived towards the barn, seeing Megatron trying to calm down the Terrans. "I came as fast as I could. What happened?" He asked. They heard a snap. They both turn around to see the others coming out of the woods. The sight alone confused them both. Soundwave gripping onto Bumblebee, his visor drenched in tears with both Prime and Illusion following behind. Illusion was holding something in her servo, Prime holding her closely. "What's going on, Prime? where are the others?" StarScream looks towards what Illusion was holding, covering his mouth. "Is that...."
