Chapter 17: Mirror

"Everyone, meet Soundblaster." Silas spoke.

Illusion, Soundwave, and Shockwave stared at the figure, one out of humiliation, out of anger, and out of confusion. "/Is that me?/" Soundwave asked. Illusion nodded before aiming her sword at the imposter. "《Yh but he's not exactly you, so he should be easy to-》" Shockwave quickly moved her hand down. "Don't!" Shockwave warned. "《What do you-》" "Frenzy's in there. Or maybe a Rumble. They're using them as a vessel." Soundwave stared back at the figure and quickly scanned him. "/It's not Rumble's or Frenzy's spark signatures. It must be someone else's./" Soundwave stated. Illusion got into a fighting stance. "《Doesn't matter. We gotta get past him!》" Soundwave grabbed her arm. "/You two go ahead! I'll hold them off./" Soundwave said. "NO》" Shockwave and Illusion yelled. "/Well it seems you both agreed on something, but-/" Soundwave grabs them both before throwing them past Soundblaster. "/I'M NOT LISTENING TO YOU TWO!!!/" Soundwave yelled. They both fell on their sides as Soundwave prepared to fight Soundblaster and Arachnid. Illusion looks back at Soundwave one more time before grabbing Shockwave and running deeper into the base. They run through the base, passing empty cells and the only light being Illusion's headlights and Shockwave's optic. "《They must have kept a record of how they're controlling the others out there!》" She yelled. Shockwave looked ahead, seeing an open space. "Over there!" Shockwave quickly ran forward as Illusion kept checking the cells. "《Find out how to release Sila's control over the others. I'll try to-》" Illusion paused, noticing the camera moving around. Was it trying to signal her? She moved closer as the camera kept moving up and down. "《Frenzy, that you?》" She asked. "Frenzy's a minicon, not a camera-" "《I KNOW IDIOT!》" The camera kept moving around. "《Shockwave! Find the security feed. We need to get the minicons out first!》" Shockwave quickly typed into the computer as Illusion looked over the screens. "《There! There they are!》" Illusion pointed torwards one of the cells. "It's not far from here. I'll go get them and-" "《No! You find a cure, and I'll get them out.》" Shockwave wasn't able to say anything as Illusion quickly ran down the corridors. "Where is that stupid file over this?"

Illusion ran down the halls, yelling out the twins' names. "《FRENZY! RUMBLE! WHERE ARE YOU!?》" Illusion looked over every cell, making sure she didn't pass them. "Over here!" Someone yelled. Illusion ran over to their cell, her headlights illuminating the room. "《RUMBLE!?》" Illusion yelled. Rumble smiled weakly as his body pressed against the wall. "Hey there... rabbit ears." Rumble joked. Illusion snorted as she pressed her hands against the force field. "《Hazard and Frenzy definitely missed your jokes kid.》" Illusion watches as Rumble puts his hand where hers is. "Is Frenzy okay?" He asks. Illusion nodded. "《She's fine. Her cell isn't far from here. C'mon, let's get you out of here.》" Illusion stepped before running into the force field. She grunted as it didn't leave much of a crack. "Have you tried just pressing the control panel next to it." Rumble towards the side of his cell. "《Oh.》" Illusion looked over the buttons and numbers. "《Yeah. Fuck it.》" She punched through the panel, the force field disappearing. "I guess that works. WOAH!" Illusion placed Rumble on her shoulder. "《Hold on bud. Let's go get your sister.》" Rumble gripped onto her shoulder as they ran down the halls.

Soundwave ripped off the webs on his hand as Arachnid prepared to shoot more. Soundwave looks behind, seeing Soundblaster running towards him. "/Frag!/" Soundwave moved to the side as Soundblaster rammed straight into Arachnid. "/Maybe I should have asked Illusion to stay./" He muttered. He fell behind as a sonicblast hit him. "/Gah!/" Soundwave grabbed onto the wall, getting up. He watches as Soundblaster moved toward him, ready to attack him. Soundwave charges his cannon, ready to shoot him away. He felt something wrapped his leg and was immediately lifted into the air. "/Crap!/" Soundwave tried to tear the webbing off his foot but more started covering his body. Soundwave watches helplessly as Arachnid approached him. "I have to admit..." Soundwave looked down, seeing Silas next to Soundblaster. "I expected more out of you. Oh well, I'm sure once Arachnid is done with you, maybe I'll use your metal to improve Soundblaster's design." Soundwave glared at him as Arachnid raised one of her front legs to pierce into his spark.

SNAP!

Soundwave fell down, landing into Illusion's arms. "《Sorry for being late. I had to get back up.》" Soundwave nearly cried as his two minicons greeted him from behind Illusion's back. "Carrier!" Frenzy yelled. Illusion set them down as Frenzy ran torwards him. She quickly jumped into his arms as Rumble timidly hid behind Illusion. "《Hugs later you two. We got a spider to set free and an imposter to get rid of!》" She points her sword torwards Arachnid as Soundwave quickly raised his hands torwards Soundblaster. "/Just like old times?/" Soundwave asked. Illusion smirked as she charged torwards Arachnid, swinging her sword above her helm. "《Just like old times!》"

Shockwave types into the computer, looking through medical files and switching camera feeds. He quickly read through the files, seeing how different torture methods were used to try and control them. He read that some had sadly passed away due to these methods. He read a file on Arachnid, who was forced to observe over everything and had kept files on what has happened. Smart spider, no wonder Illusion liked her. He read her last report, his optic widening in shock. His comm pinged, along with the loud voice of his once tyrannical leader. "SHOCKWAVE! Report! Is there anything to reverse the effect!?" He yelled through. "There's no cure!" He exclaimed. There was silence through the comm before another voice filled it. This one being Illusion. "《Whay do you mean there's no cure!?》" She yelled through, loud war cries heard in the background. "There's no cure! In Arachnid's reports, it explains how their methods would brainwash the victims, possibly the effects of the manipulation of Silas not being able to disappear from their processors." He explained. Another voice quickly cut through. This being Soundwave.

"/Even if there isn't a known cure, you'll find a solution Shockwave. You always do.../"
