Chapter 20: Conflict

Soundwave was holding Shockwave up as he fainted due to the loss on energon. "/Scrap- we gotta get him to a medic!/" He tried lifting him up, but he underestimated just how heavy Shockwave was. Illusion was snickering as Soundwave tried his best to carry his injured mate. "《Allow me.》" Illusion lifted him with such ease, putting his limp body over her shoulder. Both twins looked at each other, each having a 'what the frag!?' look. Soundwave didn't say anything about her unusual strength, but thanks her. They quickly started making their way out of the base, looking through the cells in case of any other survivors. Sadly, all they saw were the remains of many cybertronians, either Decepticon or Autobot, sitting in their cell with their gray forms. "《How did you and Breakdown lives that long???》" Illusion asked, averting her gaze from gruesome scene that she'd rather not see. Arachnid rubbed her arm awkwardly. "Being cowards..... or in other words, do what they say..." Soundwave patted her shoulder, understanding her reason. "/It must have been hard..../" He spoke softly. They quickly dropped the subject, wanting to avoid making Arachnid comfortable once they got out. If they can find their way out anyway....

Megatron tapped his pede as Optimus was practically pacing around, their movements indicating they were impatient. It's been a few minutes since Illusion gone in the base (along with Soundwave, Shockwave, and the others' names were). Why haven't she come out yet? Was she hurt? Were they not able to rescue the others inside? Was she captured? IS SHE DEAD!? Both brothers were getting nervous and anxious as they didn't see their younger sister return yet. "She's been gone for too long..." Megatron spoke. Optimus didn't say anything, his silence agreeing with Megatron's words. Optimus paced around a bit more until Bee came over to snap him out of it. "|Calm down, Optimus. I'm sure they're fine. Maybe they got lost down there-|" "THAT'S EVEN WORSE!" Megatron yelled at him. Megatron was about to storm into the base until he saw Illusion and the others coming, her carrying Shockwave over her shoulder as Soundwave and Arachnid followed close behind her. Both brothers ran over to her as she finally passed throat the entrance. She wasn't able to stop their suffocating hugs, being squeezed between her two older brothers as they tried to look for any injuries. She was confused in how the pit did they missed all the scratches and dents and the HUGE hole in the side of her chassis. Optimus quickly pulled KnockOut to get her fixed, but she refused immediately. "《Shockwave needs more medical attention than me-》" "But you're bleeding out!" "《It's not that bad-》" "Yes, it is!" "《I SAID I'M FINE!》" She yelled. She grabbed KnockOut and pushed him next to Shockwave's injured frame that was bow being held up by Soundwave and Arachnid (both were struggling to keep him up). "《KnockOut. I need you to make sure Shockwave is alive and well, or else I will take it out on your poor sparkmate who's probably not under Silas's control anymore. Do I make myself clear!?》" She yelled. KnockOut nodded quickly, both being scared by her threat and possibly seeing his spark again and finally introduced their sparkling to him since he missed their emergence when he went missing. Illusion moved past both her brothers, who followed behind her quickly as they yelled in protest. "Illusion, you're being ridiculous! You're injured-" "《-and Shockwave won't survive if he's not taken care of first! Plus, my injuries are not that horrible-》" "ILLUSION JUST STOP!" Megatron stepped in front of her, glaring. "Why can't you see that we're trying to get you help!? You're injured just as badly as him!" Illusion clenched her servos, her spark beginning to spin faster as she gritted her dentas. "《You don't get it-》" "He's right, Illusion..." Optimus stood next to Megatron, both of them now standing in front of her. Illusion glared at them both, her anger threatening to break. "You always put everyone before you, making sure they get what they need and neglect yourself and-" "《They need it more than me!》" Megatron glared at her. "You always did this to yourself. Even back during the war! Why can't you for once, not put everyone above you and fragging realized that you're getting taken advantage of-" "《ENOUGH!》" She yelled. She glared at them both, specifically more at Megatron. "《Don't pretend that you suddenly care about me, Megatron, because you never did! Not even during the war! You fragging changed when the power went over your head! You stopped caring about my well-being, instead focusing on what weapons I would make for you! You would always return with them either destroyed or the way they were, yelling at me that they were useless and that I needed to do better! Don't you know what that fragging did to my processor!?》" She held back a sob as she continued. "《I spent so many nights, staying up late to design any weapons that would please you. None of them ever fully did. I thought you kept me around because I was your sister, despite my failures but....》" She paused, quickly wiping away the tear that emerged from her optic. Megatron lifted his servo to try and comfort her but she quickly recoiled from his touch. She moved past them, no longer feeling the need to talk more to them. Megatron watched her leave, seeing her move over to the others to check if they were injured or not.

"GET THIS TRAITOR OUT OF MY SIGHT!" Megatron yelled. Illusion watched as they dragged StarScream away AGAIN. She sighed heavily, knowing she had to convinced her brother again to give him another chance. She didn't know why she always helped StarScream. Maybe because of their friendship? She didn't know exactly what it was but it always led to her getting him out of trouble. As everyone on the bridge left, she approached her brother. "《Brother-》" "No Illusion! I'm done giving him a chance. He'd a traitor. He'll always be one..." He hissed. Illusion's shoulders slumped as grumbled. "《Reconsider what you are doing brother... You're getting rid of the commander of the seekers. If you get rid of him and send him away, his seekers will follow and you will lose your air support-》"

She didn't see that coming. She held her cheek, touching it as the metal felt bruised. He just slapped her.... Her BROTHER just slapped her. She turned her helm to face him, feeling small as he loomed over her.
