Chapter 21: Past Mistakes

"|Illusion?|"

Illusion snapped out for her thoughts as Bee came close. It was hours after the rescue from the G.H.O.S.T base. She was currently sitting in the open, ignoring the cow that was rubbing her head against her pede. She thought it was cute on their part. Bee sat next to her, petting the cow on her head as she let out a small moo. "《I'm fine Bee.》" She answered. Bee scoffed at her response. "|You haven't said much when we got out of that base. Good riddance if you ask me but.... how are you holding up?|" Illusion looks at him, surprised. For once, someone was concerned about her. Someone that wasn't Hazard... Illusion held the spark chamber that kept pulsing every so often, seeking comfort from their bond. Illusion sent her a pulse of comfort. "《....I'm not fine.》" She admitted. She rubs her servo over the spark chamber, wishing it was her minicon that was looking at her. Bee could hear the sadness in her voice. Almost like no one had truly asked her if she was alright. He placed a servo over her shoulder, sending comfort to her. Despite that they're both sitting down together, Illusion was always taller than him.

Ever since they first met....

"|Prime, are you out of your mind!?|" Bee exclaimed. "|You do know that she's a decepticon, right? She's gonna stab us in the back and alert the other cons of our base! What were you thinking!?|" When Bee saw Prime return with an injured Decepticon being carried out by the rest of the search team, he had lost it. Prime sighed heavily as Bumblebee glared at him. "I couldn't have left her out there, bee..." He protested. Bee scoffed at that remark. "|You do know who we're dealing with, right!? She's the Decepticons Weapon Specialist! She can make a killing machine out of another Autobot and kill us without a second thought-|" Prime raised his hand, signaling him to stop talking. "I understand your concerns, Bee, but she's different." "|Different? As in insane!|" "Bee, please-" "|I'm sorry, Prime, but I'm looking out for the team! We're running low on energon, and you suddenly bring in a decepticon that's capable of killing us all!?-|" "She's not gonna do that-" "|Yes, she will! Once she gets a hold of a weapon, she'll kill us all-|" "BEE ENOUGH!" Prime yelled. Bumblebee flinched when he suddenly raised his voice. Prime was more composed than this. Optimus resetted his voice box. "Apologies, Bee.... but I can not stand here and listen to you speak so horribly about my sister."

Bee was about to open his mouth but quickly shut it as he reprocessed what Optimus just said. "|sister...?|" He asked, dumbfounded. He nodded as they both heard loud yelling and commotion coming from the medbay. It seemed their new recruit was awake. They both entered the medbay, both of them ducking as an Autobot flew over them. She held her minicon, her optics wide in fear as she was cornered, and all the other Autobots were pointing their guns at her. "CEASE FIRE!" Prime yelled. Everyone whipped their helms toward him, all of them hesitant before dropping their weapons. Illusion also calmed down but held her guard up, in case one of them DARED to attack her precious minicon. Prime moved past them, moving toward Illusion as everyone else yelled at him to stay away from that lunatic. "Apologies, sister. I thought my Autobots wouldn't think about injuring a cybertronian with a sparkling-" "《Minicon. She's a minicon, you idiot.》" Prime smiled. Yep, that was still her sister. He let Illusion get up, still holding Hazard close to her. "Good to see you again-" Prime felt all the nonexistent air quickly left inside him. He held his tank where Illusion had kneed him. Everyone aimed their guns at her again. Even Bee pulled out his stingers. Prime raised his servo, ordering them to stand out. "Ah- I forgot that you are still mad at me. I didn't think you held a grudge this long-" Illusion rolled her optics as she helped him. "《You seemed like you don't even know me, Orion.》" Prime sighed. "It's Optimus..." He said. Illusion ignored him. "《Well.... Mind showing me around, big brother?》" She asked. Prime excitedly dragged her away from his disappointed army, seeing Prime act like a little sparkling dragging their creator to see something. Bee had his mouth hanging out. This can't be happening... His leader being related to a Decepticon!?

Bee glared at the new recruit, still not trusting her. It's been days since she joined their side, and Bee didn't like her at all. She hates humans. She hates the loud music that the fleshbags (that's what she called the humans now) played and even hated racing. Bee held every right to hate her. Even the other Autobots didn't like her. Besides hating their new home, which is Earth, Illusion didn't treat any of them with any respect, insulting each of them and calling them all cowards and just upright cruel to all of them. She literally fucking made Arcee cry when she started insulting CliffJumper and disrespecting his name. Never had Bee hated her so much and... PRIME WAS DOING NOTHING ABOUT HER BEHAVIOR!!! Bee was sitting outside the base, racing around in circles as he was angry at Optimus for letting a nightmare of a decepticon femme join their side. It was an insult to their entire faction! Bee transformed back to his robot mode, feeling that he let out all his anger. He was walking back to the base when he heard Illusion again.

But she sounded different....

A soft voice was singing a small lullaby just right outside the base. Bumblebee never heard such a sweet melody before. As he rounded the corner, he saw Illusion singing, holding her sleeping minicon that cuddled against her frame, her visor turned off. This had to be a joke. This isn't the same Decepticon that had been making their day a living hell. But here she was, singing a lullaby to put her minicon to sleep like a carrier would to a sparkling. As soon as she finished, she whispered comforting words to her minicon, just loud enough for Bumblebee to hear that would make him give her a second chance.

"《Don't worry, Hazard. I'll keep you safe from this cruel world...》"
