Reunion [an Earthspark story]

Chapter 11: Anger

Illusion walked back to the barn, ignoring the questions that followed behind her. "/What were you doing in the woods?/" Soundwave was tailing behind her, seeing she was the only one that returned from the woods. "《I just... let off some steam.》" Soundwave grabbed her shoulder before pulling her close to his face. "/Where's Shockwave./" That wasn't a question, and Illusion knew very well that she had no choice but to answer him. She pulled away before pointing in the woods, looking away. If Soundwave had a face, it would have been a face of horror. "/what did you do to him!?/" Soundwave pushed her against the wall of the barn, seeming to catch everyone else's attention. "《Don't fucking worry. Your little frag toy is fine. It's not like I killed him yet...》" A snap was heard in the woods, catching their attention. Soundwave glared at her before turning his attention to Shockwave, who was leaking energon from his side helm. Illusion scoffed as she brushed off her shoulder, some of her paint falling off.

Hazard watches the scenario unfold as she keeps Frenzy asleep on her leg. Maybe (if she's lucky), Illusion would let this go and walk away, but it seems Primus isn't on her side today. "《You could have done better, y'know!》" There it is. Anger. It seems to influence a lot of her master's emotions. Frenzy woke up due to the commotion. "[So much for peace....]"

Soundwave snapped his helm at her, his oil tank boiling with anger. "《He's going to eventually leave you, Soundwave!》" Soundwave kept holding onto Shockwave's injured helm, trying to keep his anger in control. "《You always do this to yourself, Soundwave. You never listen to anyone when they try to warn you, and when you do, it's already too late!》" Soundwave snapped. Illusion didn't have time to register the servo, making its way to her face. Illusion held her side helm as Soundwave held his shaking servo, glaring at her. Illusion looked at him disbelief, this being the first time he had ever hit her. Illusion was about to attack him, but Hazard grabbed her servo, trying to calm her down. Illusion looks down at her minicon and calmed down. "《FINE.》" Illusion walked away with Hazard slowly tailing behind her. Soundwave hugs himself, feeling guilt rising through his spark. As always, anger controlled his decisions, and this time, it went too far.

Hazard was outside the barn as Illusion was recharging inside. She seemed more interested in staying out much later than recharging next to her. Lately, she's been sneaking out to meet Frenzy on top of the barn to hang out. How it happened, she doesn't fucking know. She's currently waiting for Frenzy to arrive, since she lives far away. She actually doesn't question where on earth she recharges or even lives in. Frenzy spots her from behind, getting a small flinch from Hazard. At least she succeeded in scaring her atleast. "[Didn't think you'd make it tonight?]" Frenzy frowns a bit at her and looks away. "I uh- had to get away from Soundwave after earlier..." Hazard looks at her blankly. Maybe she shouldn't have brought that up. "Anyway, what you got planned for tonight?" Hazard snorts. "[Me? Planning something. That's your job]" Frenzy groans before pulling her guitar out. "I can't always be planning our hangouts every night." She plays a tune that Hazard doesn't know. She's actually very curious. "[What are you doing???]" She touches the strings of Frenzy's guitar, strumming the stings in a beautiful rhythm. "Just playing a song I heard in the earth radio." She starts playing the first few notes to Hazard, seeming to hypnotize her with that sweet melody. They sat quietly, listening to the beautiful music that came out of her guitar. As soon as the song started, it ended quickly. Hazard frowned when Frenzy stopped playing. "[Play another one.]" Hazard said, catching Frenzy off guard. Frenzy looks at her confused before starting another tune, this one seeming to catch Hazard's attention more. For at least a few hours straight, Frenzy played every song she's ever heard from the radio to Hazard, who enjoyed very single one of them. It was already sunrise by the time Frenzy finished the last song. "Holy frag! Morning already!?" Frenzy got up as Hazard looked towards the blinding sun rising from the horizon. "[Oh well, might as well enjoy my day recharging.]" Hazard got up before saying one last thing to Frenzy. "[Can you sing to me again tomorrow?]" Frenzy nodded as Hazard climbed down the barn. If Hazard had stayed long enough, she would have seen the blush that settled on Frenzy's face.

Tensions were still high when Soundwave came over the next day with StarScream to see how the terrans were doing in their training. Soundwave stood next to Illusion as they observed the terrans with their aerial training. Twitch could sense their suffocating tension from up in the air. Twitch tried to focus on her training, but she felt something bad was gonna happen. Not only to them but to everyone. Twitch looked towards the woods, feeling someone's eyes piercing through her. Maybe it was her imagination when she saw a light flash at her for a second. Twitch focused back to her training with the others as she tried to grab Jawbreaker from the ground. Maybe she should have paid attention to the camera that was taking pictures of them.

Frenzy turned her head to the woods, hearing a quick click erupt from something hidden within those tall trees. She quickly and quietly snuck away from her carrier's gaze and entered those woods. She pushed those weeds quietly before she felt something following behind her. She turned around quickly, her guitar gun pointed at them. Hazard held her clawed hands up in defense before setting them down as Frenzy put her guitar away. "What the hell are you doing!?" "[Following you]" "Why?" Hazard wasn't able to say much before a gun blast hit her by the shoulder, sending her flying to a tree. "Hazard!!!" Frenzy was hit from behind, knocking her unconscious. All she saw were dark figures hovering over her, seeing one of them aimed directly at Hazard.

A gunshot followed afterward...
