The warning given by Freen ringed inside Becca's head, it was almost like the last time. Her brother Prince Richard has guarded Becca that night but he failed in front of the brute force of his capturers.

" No, please ". Becca cried, she placed her hands on her ears to stop the sounds from outside. Suddenly the banging stopped, Freen eyed the door. Earlier she had taken a defensive stance with her sword in her hand and eyes on the door.

" Becca... ". Freen softly called for her lover who was balled up into a small figure, her knees touching her chin and silently crying as her memories resurfaced.

" Becca, look up, it is me ". Freen tried again, with a gentle tone, it ached Freen to see her lover cry but she can't comfort her when there is a threat in front of the door. " You are not going to die today, Becca, you believe me, right ? You trust me, right ? ". Freen wanted Becca to answer but before she could utter a single thing, there was a loud bang on the door again, this time the hit was strong enough to shake the door.

Rebecca trembled in fear but still managed to nod her head as Freen's fierce gaze was on her, demanding a reply. " Good, Becca, I want you to get up and rush to the bathroom, there is a window there, a ladder is attached to it which will directly lead you to the training grounds ". Freen started to explain when Rebecca realised that her lover was going to let her escape alone and face the danger herself, Rebecca shook her head.

" Becca.... It will get you near recruits quarters, go there, a lot of recruits haven't gone to the war so they will be able to protect you ". Freen continued even when she saw the reluctance in Rebecca's eyes, the banging continued, the hinges of the door were getting damaged and Freen was sure that the enemy would enter any minute.

" Becca, there isn't much time left ". The doors shook, Freen was ready with her sword in her hand but the only thing that worried her was Becca who refused to go without Freen.

" If I go, you are going with me, if you are staying, I am staying with you ". Rebecca stated, the princess sat up in her bed, taking deep breaths, trying to calm herself.

She looked at Freen and remembered herself that this time will not end up like the last. Freen will save her, they will survive together and face the danger together.

" It isn't going to end well, Becca ". Freen mumbled, she was not happy with the princess's decision, she wanted her to escape, without even thinking about Freen.

Another loud bang on the door, the hinges fell to the ground and the doors got weak by the brute force used by the outsiders. Someone pushed them apart from the outside and both doors fell to the ground, the dust stirred up from the impact, Freen coughed up as it disrupted her vision.

Becca got up and hid herself behind Freen, Freen covered Becca's body and used herself as her shield, she wanted to take all the damage for the princess. The intruders emerged from the dust, there were three men, carrying weapons.

An axe, a spear and a sword, Freen cursed under her breath, she did carry various types of weapons but the intruders seemed to be trained in each weapon they had.

" Christian, there is a guard ". They were wearing masks to hide their identity, the three men scoffed as they saw a woman protecting the princess, not a man. " Don't worry she is just a woman, Christian, kill her ". Freen clenched her her fists and gripped her sword tighter than before.

Christian ?

Freen trembled when she heard her father's name, she controlled herself, thinking it may not actually be her father. He maybe a monster but he lacked skills and courage to even participate in something like this.
