The bedchamber was empty, Freen entered inside to look for the princess but there was no sign, the room had been empty for a while.

" Sarocha, escort the princess to the main hall ". Irin came to the door only to find the room empty, she stared at Freen and then at the empty chamber.

" She isn't here ? ". Irin asked and the princess's guard nodded to confirm that she had got it right. " His majesty would be angry with you if you don't find her soon ". Irin informed, Freen sighed and ran her hands through her hair, trying to remember what Liam said.

The princess's previous guard had warned Freen for such situations, Freen didn't think that it would happen so suddenly, the princess hadn't behaved like this when Freen was her guard.

Freen shook her head and ran straight towards the library, hoping that Liam was right, by that time sun had set, the palace was lit with lights as a sign of royal gathering. The royal family had connections with people living in the west vilage who were invited to this gathering.

Freen wasn't able to feel the air in her lungs as she ran as fast she could, she didn't want the princess to be late for this event and certainly didn't want the king to be disappointed in her.

" Princess ? ". Freen huffed for air, she bent over her knees, catching her breath. " Princess, are you here ? ". Freen called out again, there was no hope left inside Freen to find the princess here, the library was pitch black, no sign of the Princess being here.

" Please, where are you ? ". Freen still walked into the library, thinking that the princess might be using the darkness to her advantage. Due to less light coming inside the library through its windows, Freen tripped on something and fell.

" Where are you ? ". Freen groaned and got up from the ground, she dusted off her clothes and prepared to leave, there was no way princess was here, Freen could feel the library was empty.

Freen sighed and left the library, she was already panicking, the gathering had began and she was sure that the king would request princess's presence soon. She had to find her one way or the other.

Freen tried to think about the places where the princess might be, the places she frequently liked to visit, then her next guess was the royal garden. She went to check the backyard of the palace, because If the princess has decided to hide, that would be her best bet.

The front yard is decorated and the guards are present there so she would have been spotted there. Freen took the long way, she didn't want anyone to know that she was looking for princess, she had to find her before anyone notices that she is missing.

Freen took the way of training grounds and from there she could do straight to the backyard. The training grounds were empty, she knew that the king had organised a feast for the army as well, maybe all of her friends and new recruits were there as well.

" Freen ? ". Engfa's voice reached her ears, she sighed and turned around to face her friend group. " Shouldn't you be with the princess right now ? ". Noey asked and Freen nodded, all of them shared glances waiting for Freen to explain why she is here.

" I am looking for her, she is at the backyard of the palace ". Freen replied, she lied a little to her friends, she wasn't sure that princess was really there, but she didn't want to make it seem like she didn't do a good job being her guard.

" Already lost her ? ". Non's voice came in, Freen rolled her eyes.

Of course he had to step in..

" I told you, you are not fit for the position ". Non shrugged with a smile on his face, Freen clenched her jaw, regretting her decision to take his side.
