CHAPTER FOURTY THREE

" Freen, no ! ". Noey cried out, all of her teammates approached her slowly, not believing that their leader sacrificed her life just to save theirs. " You can't die ". Arnold choked out, he was still breathing, Heng came forward and helped Arnold to sit up, Heng removed his shirt and tied it around Arnold's wound to stop the bleeding.

His wound was not fatal but bleeding had to be stopped. " You can't die, Freen, you haven't met my child yet ". Arnold stated, trying his best to hold his tears in, he wanted Freen to meet his child, he wanted his child to know the person who saved him and gave him another chance at life.

" You are listening to me, right ? ". Arnold yelled but still got no response from Freen. " Step back ". It was Prince Richard who ordered them to clear his path, he came forward and crouched near Freen's body.

He placed his fingertips on Freen's pulse point, hoping to find a faint pulse to indicate the life inside Freen. " Come on, please ". Prince Richard muttered, Noey still applied pressure on Freen's stomach wound which was much appreciated by Prince Richard.

Then miraculously, Prince Richard felt a faint pulse underneath his fingertips, he closed his eyes and sighed in relief. " She is alive but not for long ". Prince Richard stated, Noey looked up with tears in her eyes.

" What should we do ? ". Noey croaked out, she cleared her throat as she stared at Prince Richard. " Make her sit up, lean her back against the tree ". With the help of others, they carefully carried Freen's body and made her sit up.

Prince Richard roamed his eyes around the forest, he had hope that this forest must have all the things he needs.

" Quick, all of you go out and search for aloe vera, comfrey and yarrow plants, I need them this instant if we want to save her ". Prince Richard yelled, thankfully he had gained enough knowledge about herbs and Medicines when he studied, everyone nodded and left to search for them.

Noey and Richard were left taking care of Freen and making sure that she is alive, Prince Richard took out a clean piece of cloth that he picked up in the meeting room and tied it around Freen's stomach to make the bleeding stop.

" This isn't the only thing you picked out from that meeting room, right ? ". Noey knew that Prince Richard was upto something, Prince Richard ignored her words and focused on Freen's condition.

" You are not supposed to know ". Prince Richard said after he safely bandaged Freen's wound and waited for others to bring the herbs he asked for. " Let's just focus on her ". Prince Richard ended the discussion right there, Noey sighed and shook her head, Prince Richard was making it difficult for them to trust him completely.

Prince Richard kept a close watch on Freen's pulse, making sure that she stays alive. The team came back running with everything Prince Richard asked for, thankfully the forest was full of herbs and medicinal plants that worked to their advantage.

Prince Richard knew the reason why the death knights chose to make their headquarters around here, because dense forest and availability of herbs and medicines.

" Hold this ". Prince Richard asked Billy to hold a small rock and gestured him to dust it off, while he searched for a proper surface to make the medicinal paste on, by the use of Freen's small knife he cut the aloe vera leaf and extracted the gel and neatly cut the leaves into smaller parts.

Billy handed him the rock when he was ready to blend everything together, Prince Richard used all his strength to make a fine paste. " Her pulse... ". Noey mumbled, this stressed out Prince Richard, he left Billy to continue his work while he rushed towards Freen.

" Provide her air ". He stared, Noey nodded and opened Freen's mouth to blow air inside, Prince Richard sent frequent shocks to Freen's heart to bring it back to life. " Please work ". Noey mumbled, she can't lose her friend now, now when they are free from the hell.
