"Ya know Jack, I'm kinda surprised you even have a girlfriend.""Yea? How so?!?"
"Well back in the day you didn't want anything but to get between their legs."
"Maybe Katherine's different."
"Oh, she sure is."
Katherine's heart skipped a beat as she heard the distant conversation. She knew it was Jack and Spencer, she weaved her way in and out of alleys trying to find them. She could tell she was getting close because their conversation was getting louder.
"What do you want Kelly?" She heard Spencer ask.
"Have you been kissin' on my girl?" Jack voice was low and barely controlled. Katherine's heart sunk, so Sara had told Jack.
"What makes you think that?"
"Someone told me they saw you kissing her in your apartment."
"I don't know what your talking about, little brother." Spencer sneered, Katherine felt grateful he kept his word and didn't tell Jack. She could hear in his voice that he would just love to rub the fact that he's been kissing her behind her back but he didn't. And she was grateful for that, Jack needed to hear it from her.
"Shut up! Don't pay dumb Spencer I ain't got da time. Did you or did you not?" Jack asked his voice sounding dangerous. Katherine finally spotted them just around the corner. She held back to see what Spencer would say.
"I promised I wouldn't say anything." Spencer said holding his hands up.
"Damn it Spencer!" Jack snapped grabbing his shirt and slamming him against a few trash cans. "You did or you didn't! Which is it!?" It looked like Spencer let Jack do that, Katherine knew from experience just how strong Spencer was and he could easily take Jack.
"Don't hurt him!" Katherine called desperately and turned the corner so the boys could see her.
"Katherine." They both said in unison. Jack shoved Spencer away from him and turned to her.
"Jack, I need to talk to you." She said rushing up to him. His face was grim as she came up to him, almost like he didn't want to hear what she had to say.
"It's true ain't it?" He asked as she gripped his arms. "You've been smackin' on em' behind my back." He didn't sound angry any more, just hurt. Katherine felt so bad she would rather of had him scream at her. Tears sprang into her eyes and she nodded gloomily.
"Yes... yes its t-true." She said he vision blurring with tears.
"Why?" Jack asked looking deeply hurt, his eyes seemed to have lost some of their shine.
"Don't blame her Kelly, if anyone's to blame its me." Spencer said standing a little ways away. Katherine's heart swelled for Spencer, he was willing to take the blame.
"Your so alone Spencer you had to take another mans girl just to be satisfied? That's low, even for you." Jack said his eyes shifting to Spencer. Spencer's jaw tightened and Katherine could tell he was trying hard not to lose his cool. "Your so alone you had to keep it a secrete to make sure you didn't lose her. That's pathetic."
Katherine knew when Jack had gone to far, she had just enough time to jump out of the way before Spencer grabbed Jack.
"It's all because of you!" Spencer spit into Jacks face his hands locked into Jacks shirt threateningly.
"No, stop!" Katherine cried grabbing Spencer's arm and trying to peel him off of Jack. Katherine managed to get between them and push them apart, both boys loved her too much to let her get hurt so they stopped. "Knock it off, both of you! Jack you shut your mouth and Spencer you keep your hands to yourself!" She ordered glaring at both boys. Spencer stayed where he was but Jack moved back to her side.
