We all panted as we ran through the jungle.

"Any sign of them?" Yaz asked.

"Not yet!" Darius answered.

We ran through bushes and over fallen trees. We all gasped as we saw a flashlight shined in our direction. We then hid behind a log.

"I know you can hear me!" Hawkes yelled, "Set the laptop down and no one gets hurt. I won't come closer. You have my word."

"How bout no," I mumbled, notching an arrow in my bow.

We gasped when one of the henchmen emerged from the bushes with gun aimed as us. I hissed before firing the arrow at him.

"Chris!" Darius yelled but it was too late.

The arrow hit the man in the chest, killing him instantly. Yaz and Darius stared in horror. We then moved to hide behind some bushes.

"We're heading to the valley to load up the chopper. That gives you about two hours to get there and bring me that laptop. It's the only way you'll ever see your friend again," Hawkes informed.

We glanced at each other before running through the jungle. We broke some trees to hear Sammy say, "They can't be. 'Cause they're here!"

We all laughed before we all ran to hug each other, including Kenji and Ben who were behind Sammy.

"You're okay!" Ben exclaimed as we all backed out of the hug.

"We thought you left with the chopper," Darius said.

"Hold up, where's Brooklynn?" Kenji asked.

Darius, Yaz, and I looked at each other sadly before we started to explain.

"Wu showed up with his henchmen so he could get his laptop to make more hybrids. We got to the lab first, grabbed the laptop, and tried to get out but they grabbed Brooklynn. She told us to run so we did," I explained.

"You left her with them?" Kenji asked in disbelief.

"It's what Brooklynn wanted. We just need a plan to get her back," Darius said.

"Give them the stupid laptop! Plan done!" Kenji yelled.

"It's not that easy. Everything that happened on the island, everything that went wrong, was because of Wu's research," Darius explained.

"If he gets it back, who knows how many more Indominus or Scorpius Rexes he'll make," Yaz pointed out.

"If we don't, who's knows what they'll do to Brooklynn!" Kenji shot back.

That brought silence.

"We don't have a choice, we have to give Wu the laptop," Ben said.

"Of course! We'll give it back after we copy and wipe it! We'll get Brooklynn, Dr. Wu gets nothing, and we turn him into the cops once we reach Costa Rica!" Darius explained.

"Okay, but how do we copy it?" Yaz asked.

"A flash drive! I've got on back at Camp Cretaceous," Sammy answered.

"Then let's do this!" Ben cheered, tightening his headband.

The others started to walk back to camp but Kenji wasn't following so Darius and I stayed back a little.

"Trust me Kenji. This'll work," Darius assured. I nodded in agreement before we ran to catch up with the others. 

Once we got back to camp, the others started looking for the flash drive.

I was busy with something else. Once we got back to camp, Leia was waiting at the lookout tree. She immediately flew down to me when she saw me.

"Hey there girl, I missed you," I said, scratching the top of her head.
