Narrator:

Giyuu Tomioka, Prince of the Water Kingdom, soon to be king. He had assured his parents he didn't want a partner, he had also told them he had preferences, for the same gender.

"Giyuu," His father said with his commanding voice during dinner. Giyuu immediately looked up at him, curious to what he had to say. "Yes father?" The King pressed his hands together, his elbows holding his arms up on the table. "Your mother and I have arranged a marriage for you." Giyuu's eyes widened, opening his mouth to say something before his father put his hand up for him to halt. "But, your mother wants to say something." He gestures to the queen who was sitting beside him.

"Well, the royal we have chosen for you, is a male."

Giyuu's eyes widened, he hadn't expected this. "Eldest Prince of the Wind Kingdom, Sanemi Shinazugawa."

Sanemi Shinazugawa.

The name swirled in Giyuu's head for the remainder of the day. His parents had scheduled for them to travel to the Wind Kingdom to meet before the wedding.

"I suppose being married to a man won't be too disappointing, depending on what the Prince is like." Giyuu thought as he settled in bed. He was both eager and nervous to meet the Prince the next day.

"This will be interesting."

(Next day)

Giyuu prepared to visit the Wind Kingdom to meet his, fiancé. "Giyuu! Have you prepared yourself?" His father's booming voice bounced on the walls. "Yes I'm ready Father!" He called back, buttoning his shirt as he walked down the hall to reach his parents. "Good, the Wind Kingdom isn't far, let's get going."

"Greetings, King and Queen Tomioka." (Sounds weird). They were greeted by the queen of the Wind Kingdom, Shizu Shinazugawa. "My som is just waiting for your presence in his chambers, Prince Giyuu, shall I get someone to guide you?" She spoke in a calm and soothing voice. "That would be helpful." Giyuu replied, bowing.

Giyuu thanked the guide before he knocked on the door he was led to. "Who's there?" A gruff and low voice called from inside the room. "Ah, It's Giyuu Tomioka, Prince of the Water Kingdom." There was a moment of silence before the door opened to reveal what he assumed was his fiancé

A man, not too much taller than Giyuu stood before him, a long horizontal scar ran across the left side of the face just passing his nose. He had his shirt unbuttoned, exposing a crisscrossed scar across his chest, he was muscular and he was just entranced by his lilac eyes and white hair.

"So you're the one mother arranged me for marriage with." The Prince crossed his arms and leaned against the door frame. "Ah yes, I assume you're Sanemi?"

"What do you think?" Sanemi spat. "I'll take that as a yes, may I come in?" Giyuu spoke in his calm and monotone voice which Sanemi wasn't used to. "Do I have a choice?" Sanemi's (nonexistent) eyebrows furrowed.

"No, not really." Giyuu pushed past him gently and walked into his room. Sanemi scoffed at this and walked in behind him, shutting the door.

"Water Kingdom huh?" Sanemi started a conversation as he sat on his bed while Giyuu sat on his desk. "That's correct, what of it?" Giyuu asked, curious to what Sanemi thought about his kingdom. "Just heard that you guys think you're so high and mighty, above everyone else." Sanemi explained, his tone holding a hint of sarcasm.

"Where did you hear such things? That is untrue, I can assure you." Giyuu was confused on what rumours had circled around his kingdom. "Because we barely hear any news about your kingdom, you guys barely speak." Sanemi scoffed, clearly not convinced. "You can visit my kingdom next time then, take a look for yourself." Giyuu offered.

"Fine, I will."
