Narrator:

"Nooo! I don't wanna go!" Sanemi wailed as his mother dragged him to his new kindergarten. "Sweetheart you have to, you'll make new friends, you're a lovely boy." His mother kneeled down and stroked his cheek, wiping his tears in the process. Sanemi stopped complaining and he smiled brightly. He opened his eyes and he saw a boy, about the same height as him. He had striking black hair and eyes as blue as the ocean. "Ma," Sanemi pointed at the boy. "Pretty." His mother chuckled and held his hand. "Maybe you'll be his friend." She smiled sweetly and she led Sanemi into the kindergarten.

"Nee-san." Giyuu looked up at his older sister. "Yes Giyuu?" His sister looked down at him, still holding his hand as they walked. "Why he cry?" He pointed at a wailing boy with white hair who was being dragged by his mother. "I don't know, Giyuu, maybe you'll find out?" Giyuu but his lip. "I don't want him to cry! If he cry then I cry!" He said. "Aw Giyuu..." His sister giggled. "He'll be alright, let's just get you to kindergarten okay?"

The kindergarten teacher greeted each student as they walked in.

"Bye bye Sanemi, have a good day okay?" Sanemi's mother said as she hugged Sanemi. "Yes Ma! I love you!" His mother repeated the words, kissing him on the forehead before leaving.

"Bye bye Nee-san!" Giyuu waved to his sister. His sister waved back as she walked out.

Everyone went outside to play.

Giyuu was playing by himself in the sandpit until he felt a tug on his shirt. Giyuu turned his head to see Sanemi. "Pretty." Sanemi pointed to him. Giyuu clapped his hands together and giggled. "Happy!" He cheered. Sanemi laughed aswell and he ran off. Giyuu tilted his head in confusion as to why he had run away. He ignored it and continued playing.

Sanemi came back running to him with a flower in his hand. He poked Giyuu's shoulder, making him turn around. "For you!" He held the flower out. Giyuu smiled brightly and he hugged Sanemi. "Friend!" He said before kissing Sanemi on the cheek (Is that what toddlers do??). Sanemi started laughing and he hugged him back.

"Nee-san Nee-san!" Giyuu ran up to his sister with Sanemi in his grip. "Friend friend!" He jumped up and down. "Good job Giyuu!" His sister ruffled his hair.

"Mama!" Sanemi pointed to his mother and she came rushing over. "Is this a new friend sweetheart?" Sanemi shook his head. "Boyfriend!" He smiled as he hugged Giyuu. "Oh!"

His mother looked at Giyuu's sister and they both started laughing.
