Narrator:
Giyuu was never good at handling abandonment. Not when his family died. Not even when his closest friend had moved away. He most certainly couldn't now. Not when his boyfriend left. He was the only one he could trust. He never trusted anyone, not even his friends. He never wanted to get attached again. Sanemi was the exception. Who told him he could leave like everyone else?
The weeks flew past but to Giyuu, it felt like decades. To Giyuu, time seemed to slow, just for him to suffer. The days seemed longer and he would rarely get any sleep. He didn't know how to deal with this heartbreak. The rejection he felt.
Shinobu visited a few times. Always met with Giyuu's red rimmed eyes and darkened eye bags. "You need to take care of yourself, you're worrying all of us." She would say each time, followed by her making a meal for Giyuu with whatever available. There wasn't much to choose from today. Giyuu obviously hadn't gone grocery shopping in a while. "What have you been eating the days I'm not here." Shinobu turned to him, an angry look plastered on her face but you could still hear the concern in her voice. "Bread." Giyuu mumbled in response, picking on his nails. Shinobu knew what this meant. Sanemi would make him feel better if he were here. "Don't do that, it'll damage your nails." (Idk if true) She quipped, sticking her head in the fridge trying to find something that she could work with.
She eventually sighed. "I'll call Mitsuri to come over and bring groceries, you like speaking to her, right?" Giyuu stayed silent but he was eager to listen to Mitsuri speak.
Mitsuri arrived with Obanai, carrying endless bags of groceries with them. "You didn't have to." Giyuu murmured, watching as she sorted the items. "It's okay Giyuu! It's what friends do!" She protested. Obanai was answering a phone call. Suddenly, his eyes widened. He set his phone down, turning to Giyuu. "He's back." Giyuu raised an eyebrow. "Who?"
"Sanemi."

"Are you going to go pick him up..?" Giyuu didn't look up from his lap, his hands clenched tightly. "I guess we have to, he's coming back here too, will you be okay?" Obanai asked, out of character for him. "I think I will be..." Giyuu rubbed his eyes. The only response he got was a nod before the front door was opened with Obanai walking out.

He heard two familiar voices from outside the door. One was definitely Obanai's and the other...
Sanemi.
The door swung open the reveal the two men. Giyuu's eyes widened at the sight of the man who he had loved but left. "Sanemi..?"
"Giyuu, honey I'm so sorry please-" Sanemi tried reaching out for Giyuu, only for the other to step away. "You left me, without saying anything." Giyuu tried to hold back tears. "I know and I'm an assh0le for that. Please honey, let me make it up to you." Sanemi pleaded, stepping closer to the ravenette.
Giyuu didn't know what to do. He was angry at the other man for leaving him but at the same time, he longed to be in his embrace again. He was stuck "I-I don't know." He finally uttered the words. "I need time, please."
Sanemi didn't know how to feel in that moment. He knew it was his fault. He knew he was why Giyuu felt like sh!t. "Alright. I'll give you space." He walked out of the apartment. None of his friends went after him. Sanemi knew that it was his fault.
