A woman sat on at a small table over looking a beautiful and majestic garden. Sadness and sorrow could be seen on her face. Her heart aches with pain when she thinks back to fourteen years ago when the royal guards found the bodies of her only daughter and mate mauled to death in the woods of a small town called Yiling. Their pup was nowhere to be found, and even after all these years, there is still no trace of the young one. She had some sort of peace that her daughters pup might also have been killed, and his little was dragged away and probably devoured by animals.

Her wolf howls inside her, feeling her pain and sadness. Her servants and royal guards  stood a respectful distance from the woman waiting silently for any requests she might give them. A chirping sound drew her attention. She looked up and saw a small messenger bird flew closer and sat on the table. She looked at the bird in confusion as the bird hopped closer to her. When the little messenger bird stopped, he lifted his small leg, and that's when she saw the small scroll attached to it. She looked up at the little bird and asked.

"Hi. Is this for me?."

The bird chirped excitedly at her while bobbing his little head. A small smile appears on her face, and she waves one of the servants over. The servant made their way over and bowed respectfully, waiting for the request to be given.

"Could you please bring some seeds and water for our little friend here."

She asked, and the servant answered.

"Yes, your majesty. Will that be all?."

The servant asked, and the woman nodded her head. The servant immediately left to forfil the request. She turned her attention back to the little bird and carefully untied the little scroll, wondering who would send her a message and for what reason. Seeing the official stamp of the Nie on the scroll, it even confuses her more. Why would they want to send her a message?. After the death of her daughter. The crown princess and heir to the thrown she had cut herself off from the world.

Wallowing in her grief, she did not find it necessary to accept the world who has grown , corrupt, and greedy
over the years. Curiosity got the better, and she carefully breaks the seal and unfolds the scroll. As she started to read, the servant came back with the seeds and water in two small bowls and sat it before the little bird before stepping away and back to their place. The bird started to eat and blissfully drank the water. As she read the letter, her eyes moist over, and her heart beat started to speed up. Her pheromones, which are usually perfectly concealed, burst out, and all you could smell were happiness with a mixture of sorrow.

But the more she read, it slowly started to turn sour and acrid. The servants and royal guards were starting to get worried in the change of the Queens' pheromones. What could have happened that brought on this sudden change. The Queen, once done reading, bolled the letter in her hand as her eyes flashed red. Taking a few deep breaths to steady her emotions. She placed her hands flat on the table before she moved to stand up. The royal guards immediately moved towards their Queen.

She turned towards them and the servants and said.

"Get the royal horses and carriages ready. We are leaving at first light tomorrow morning. "

The royal guards and servants said in unison.

"Yes, your majesty."

Before, they all hastily walked away to forfill their Queens' request. The Queen turns and faces the garden once again.

"I should have looked harder, my grandson. There is no excuse. I do hope that you will forgive me, and if you don't, I will understand."

She said into nothingness as the little bird started to chirp. She looked down and stretched her hand out. The bird hopped onto it, and she took her forefinger and caressed it gently.
