Once everyone had arrived and was well rested, they all were currently sitting in the Emperor's office with tea pots and light snacks laid out on the table before them. The Emperor himself , the Queen , the first prince, the Imperial uncle, Ministers Jiang, Nie, Jin, and Nie Huaisang. The two omegas, however, were not allowed to attend the meeting. The Empress was not happy about it and made his thoughts known to his mate.

"Lan Zhan, why can't I be there?. I would not even say a word, I promise."

The Empress had said with a whine and pout, but the Emperor was not about to give in.

"Wei Ying, would you not rather spend time with your sister?."

The Emperor had countered as he looked at his mate with soft eyes and a small smile on his face.

"Not fare Lan Zhan, but you are right. Promise me that you would tell me if there is anything we should be concerned about. I know you worry, but nothing will happen to me or our pup."

The Empress spoke softly as he looked into his mates eyes. The Empress can see the worry in his mates eyes, and he can feel the anxiety and stress his mate is going through. He knows that his mate is scared that something horrible will happen to him or their pup. He knows his mate will protect them even if it means giving up his own life, but he don't want that. He doesn't want his mate to die. So he will do as his mate asked of him.

"I can't help but to worry Wei Ying. You are my most precious person. You and our unborn pup. You are my world, and I would rather die than see the both of you hurt."

Tears stung the Empress eyes as he heard the words coming from his mates mouth.

"Nobody is going to die, Lan Zhan. You will not leave me and our pup alone. You will find whoever send those death threats and make them pay for threatening the life of your mate and pup. So, no dying. Promise me?."

The Empress spoke through his tears that were rolling down his face. The Emperor wiped it away lovingly before he kissed his mate deeply before he pulled away and took his mates fave between his two hands.

"I promise. I will not die Wei Ying, and we will find this person and deal with them."

The Emperor promised his mate, who gave him a watery smile before Emperor released his mates face.

"Now go spend some time with your sister she's waiting for you."

The Emperor said softly.

"Fine. I will see you at dinner time."

The Empress said before walking out of their quarters. The Emperor watches his mate leave before leaving himself, making his way towards his office.

Huaisang felt a little scared with the weight of the Emperor's eyes on him and that of everyone else's in the room.

"Nie Huaisang, what had you found out, and do you know who this person was who sent the death threats?."

The emperor asked, his eyes not leaving the beta's eyes.

'Why must the Emperor be so scary'.

Huaisang thought to himself. He blew out a soft breath before taking something out of his sleeve. Everyone's eyes never wavered from his face as he placed the qaukin pouch on the table before I spoke.
