Mariposa Samara

When I woke up at 7:35 am, my head was pounding and my chest aching, and they still are. Looks like rest doesn't work as well anymore. I got out of bed and tried to start my day without having a stroke or an aneurysm. Whichever would come faster.

Right now it's around 12 pm and I am taking a break and making lunch. Lasagna was requested for lunch today.

It's taking me some time to analyze the bugs me and the boys found in the shipment because of this killer headache I have. Its been 2 hours now.

I still need to go to Hope. I couldn't go yesterday because of the mission.

I visit Hope every other day or sometimes every day. Its the city I built for the survivors we save from the devils of this world. I built it for them to feel save, to continue to live life without the fear of it being stripped from them again. A feeling I know very well. And I would do anything in my power to stop it from happening to others.

Its only right to visit these wonderful people as often as I can. They deserve all the love and happiness of the world. I spend three hours from my time every time I go to play with the kids, listen to complains, treat wounds and injuries, be a good listener to those who wants to vent their emotions to someone, and much more.

They are my people now, and I don't leave my people alone. Never.

I am waiting for all of the boys to be here so we can go together. They love being there with the kids teaching them new lessons and skills. It warms my heart every time I see it.

After the lasagna is ready, I turn the oven off and head back to my office to continue working. The faster I can get this done, the sooner I get to catch the fuckers trying to mess with Uncle.

My phone starts ringing and I answer right away when I see its Uncle. "Sweetheart, how are feeling right now?? You got me so worried when you said you won't be coming with the boys." He whispers, worry visible in his voice.

" I am doing better, thanks for asking," I assure him. "I didn't come because I needed to find the rest of these fuckers before they cause any more damage."

"Also, we were correct, it is a trap. The boys will tell you the details once they meet with you," I continue to explain as I set my computers up.

"Fucking hell! Thank you sweetheart. No matter what kind of trap it was, you saved my boys from a disaster," he says his voice filled with relief and gratitude.

"No need to thank me Uncle. You are family, and I would do everything for my family" I reply softly.

"Don't put a lot of pressure on yourself Sam. I myself will lock you up if I have to." He commands me in his leader voice. I sigh knowing very well he would do that.

"Yes, yes. I understand. I have to go now Uncle. I have some rats to grill." His reply is a small chuckle as he hangs up the line. I go back to work until the boys are here.

Time skip

Its around 3pm when I hear the front door open. I leave my office to see Zain and Zeiden wandering to the kitchen.

"It smells amazing in here! I am so ready to eat." Yells Zain in excitement. I chuckle at him as I go to prepare the table.

Zeiden stops me with his hands on my shoulders. "Sit. I got it." He orders as he gently pushes me to sit in a chair around the table. I comply and sit down. When Zeiden decides something, he is worse than me in his stubbornness.

"Where are Zaid and Zayin?" Asks Zain as he put the lasagna in the oven to heat it.

"They are cleaning the mess you made in the den the other day," I say glaring at him. An "oh..." is his answer as he looks at me sheepishly with his hand scratching his neck.
