Elemental Outbreak

CH 1. The World Before.

A/N  This is mainly a introduction chapter so there's gonna be a lot of POVs and jumping around also may be the longest chapter in this story I don't know if I/We plan on making a chapter longer than this one.

~Talia's POV~

"Where am I?" I said I looked around all I could see was the ground covered in fire it was pitch black, "strange what's going on?" I kneeled to touch it but it didn't burn. I decided to start walking "Maybe this is the way out? Or I'll find something?" I walked for what felt like hours until the fire on the ground moved and up came a figure made of fire, "woah what or who are you?" It looked like it was about to say something to me but then I could hear a similar sound play all around. My alarm started to ring throwing me out my dream, I stared at the ceiling for a few moments before grabbing my phone to turn it off. "Man, it's always at the good parts too." I sat up and rubbed my eyes looking out the window to see the sun rise.

"Ah another day" I moved off the bed putting my house slippers on and walking out to the hall bathroom to wash up and fully wake up. I dried my face and stared at myself "Morning beautiful" I said thinking to myself a bit about how vivid that dream was but also the past few years once again, I got adopted when I was sixteen by the Antunes family and it's been a little hard getting used to living with a new family. I sighed and I went back to my room and headed towards my drawer to grab the remote to my TV, turning it on.

"Still no final answer to the explosion that happened in Las Vegas, Nevada a week ago the explosion was devastating destroying all of Las Vegas in an instant. As we said the cause of the explosion is still unknown government officials are still investigating into the possibility of a third world country attack but rumors are spreading that the company Elementol is to blame." I was in disbelief when I first heard about that, I walked out my room and started heading to the kitchen and saw my adopted parents in the living room they were watching the same thing.

"They are still reporting on that?" My sister Eliana said to them popping out of nowhere from behind me. "Yeah mija it's so sad I hope they figure out what happened." Venessa said, "It's probably that damn Elementol like they said that company spits no good" Hector said crossing his arms in anger he doesn't really like anything that much, he is a stern man. "Dad! Really" she said I assume nodding towards me, "You know Talia's birth parents worked there and also the company helps people by curing diseases and lots of other things." Eliana said back to him.

"I'm sorry mija I didn't-" he was gonna continue but I cut him off, "No it's ok I understand what you mean," I told him not all people have good intentions. "But there has to be something up with them it's too good to be true" he replied Eliana just shook her head and went to one of our couches and started to look at her phone I assumed reading into it there more. "Well whatever the case is I hope all ends up well I still got classes I guess an explosion that destroyed a city isn't enough to get classes canceled." I said walking to the kitchen grabbing an apple.

"You know you don't have to go right?" Eliana said, "It's barely the end of the first week, I can't start missing classes right at the beginning." I replied back biting the apple, "Or not at all!" Hector said I gave a smile, "Don't you have classes too miss?" Venessa said asking Eliana. "Not until after twelve." She said starting to stretch then getting off the couch walking towards my room.

"Hey what are you doing?" I said following her back to my room. "I need to borrow some eyeliner" she said starting to look through my drawers. "I'll let you borrow it after I'm done using it I do gotta get ready for class." I told her shutting my drawers almost smashing her fingers. "Hey watch the fingers but you don't even use it that much" she said, she wasn't wrong but I still needed it. "Yea, yea get out I gotta get ready!" I said pushing her out the door. I shut the door and started to get dressed putting on casual jeans, a UCLA long sleeve themed shirt and my usual shoes.
