"Stop ignoring me, San. This isn't like I just stole your sister's first kiss."
Mingi's luxury car in a more suitable and secure place than the minimalist lobby terrace in front of them. Or at least that's what Mingi thought until San said, "Espresso with two spoons of sugar? Is that enough to really open your eyes?"
Mingi just grinned annoyingly at San, who closed the window he had just opened. He put his ungloved hands into his coat pockets. Walking slowly and gracefully. He didn't like being late; someone once told him that he was as disciplined as the Guardsmen at Buckingham Palace. And that he hadn't changed much now.
Except for the part where he usually didn't wake up before eight in the morning. He didn't care even if people asked him to come earlier. Yeah, call it the superstar syndrome or whatever. But he knew that small things like that didn't matter as long as he worked professionally, and his acting in front of the camera remained impressive.
And honestly, he didn't intend to ruin his comfortable position as an actor with a relatively high bargaining power due to something so unprofessional.
"Why did you kiss him?" Mingi had been repeating that question in his mind since last night. It echoed near his ears as if someone followed him everywhere just to whisper that question to him. Sounded horrifying. So, there shouldn't be any need for comments about Mingi being drowsy this morning because he had barely slept. Mingi walked towards the reception desk; there was a young woman with large eye bags sitting just as drowsy as him. Not a good choice to talk to, but he had no other option because, honestly, he had no idea where to go for this morning meeting.
"Mr. Song!" The woman's voice, Mingi thought, was straightforward and quite confident. He slightly turned his body and found Jung Yunho's manager standing in front of him. Mingi tried to remember the girl's name. Yeoreum? Yeojin? Yeojo? Yeorin?
"Yeosang?" Or Faith Annabelle Kang. The girl smiled thinly, a pull at the corner for professionalism. Mingi, for once, didn't feel repulsed by that smile. At least, he didn't have to deal with the woman behind the reception desk who clearly didn't want to be bothered by anything or anyone.
"Yes. We've been waiting for you."
Mingi wanted to ask Yeosang to elaborate on who "we" referred to. But the woman briskly walked towards the elevator, and Mingi didn't have the time to open his mouth. Trying hard to stave off his drowsiness, Mingi attempted to match the girl's pace until they reached the elevator.
Mingi glanced at the lilac high-heeled shoes paired with Yeosang's purple knee-length skirt. He wondered how she could move so smoothly in an outfit that didn't seem particularly practical.
Mingi tried not to stare at Yeosang's neatly tied golden hair today. A beautiful girl, he thought. He wondered why he wasn't interested in her at all during the shoot location.
Oh, right, because rumors circulated that she had a special relationship with Choi Jongho. Mingi might be a playboy, but he never tried to steal what was already taken.
Ah, and because he was busy arguing with Yunho. Yunho seemed to be a really good distraction. Plus, for some reason, black-haired Yunho seemed more enjoyable to look at.
"So, who will be discussing this?" Mingi finally asked after a few moments of trying to shake off the texture of Yunho's hair when Mingi ran his fingers through it last night.
