“You didn’t kill him, did you?”
Mingi rolled his eyes when his gaze met San’s in the rearview mirror. “What’s the point of creating a scandal and pretending to fall in love with your co-star if the person you’re acting with ends up found dead in their apartment?”
San didn’t answer. After fiddling with the radio channels for a while, he asked another question, “So, did he agree?”
Mingi exhaled heavily. “I didn’t come here to convince him to accept the offer, you know that.”
“No. I don’t know. Considering this morning you said you had no reason to kiss the guy, and half an hour later you managed to convince him with a plan that sounds so brilliant.”
“Are you still mad about that?”
“I don’t have the right to be mad, Mingi.”
“You’re right.”
Then silence.
“Tomorrow, BBC Radio 1… for the cover session, I… want to change the song…?” Mingi ended his sentence with a questioning tone, knowing that sudden changes are often troublesome.
“Actually, they called about an hour ago and said they’d prefer to hear ‘Take Me to Church’ instead of ‘One Day at a Time,’ if you don’t mind?”
Mingi didn’t answer. San understood what Mingi was considering, so he continued, “Jongho said that the OST album ‘Folie à Deux’ will be released a week after the premiere, but he said it’s fine to start performing the song. They’ve already released the first trailer a week ago, and the second trailer will follow the day after tomorrow. The music video for ‘Take Me to Church’ is ready to be released. So a little early promotion isn’t a problem, I guess.”
Mingi gave a thin smile. “I don’t understand how you remember all these schedules without ever seeming to take notes.”
“You don’t need to understand that,” San replied with a grin, stopping the car when they reached a red light. “So?”
“As long as I can change the song for the cover?”
“Deal,” San answered, using the red light to send an email to the relevant staff.
