*five months later*
Well, life had changed since River got out of the hospital. She was once again depressed. Toby, the boy who she thought was going to change her life, had disappeared. She couldn't help but feel a little guilty about turning him down. Oh well. He probably hated her now, wherever he was....No! It was not alright! She felt like she was on the brink of suicide because of what she said. Did Toby leave because of her?
Meanwhile, Tobias was roaming the streets. Hair was long. Clothes were ripped. Life was tough without oatmeal. Even though this was true, he felt..free. His parents, of course, probably had no idea he was missing. Stupid parents. Stupid oats. Stupid world. He was trying to find work, but nothing really appealed to him. He worked at mcdonalds for a while..that sucked. Then a coffee shop, where he got fired for sprinkling oats in everyone's coffee. He really couldn't help it..but that's when he realized that oatmeal was ruining his life. Now he was jobless and homeless..with only a crumpled 20 dollar bill in his pocket. Toby had actually set up a little camp for himself under an abandoned bridge in a broken down camper just left there. Every night, tears would silently stream down his face...she had broken his heart. How could she do that? She was the only other person in the world who liked oa-...I shouldn't say the word..but you get the idea.
One night, Toby couldn't sleep. He was drenched in sweat...his oatmeal eyes were popping out of his head. He had a deep feeling in his gut that River was not okay. Even though she hurt him, he needed to get to her. Now. Something was not right.
