Chapter -17.

After two months 

On the day of the engagement. 

Everyone was busy with the preparation. Prithvi was called by his father and was made to come to the engagement. Vikram insisted that he needs his help at the time like this. Seeing that he had no escape, he came home a day before the function.

Dharani reached Hyderabad two days before the engagement. As promised,  Vikram requested Agastya 's parents to hold the marriage for two years. Though they denied the proposal initially, Agastya also supported Vikram and asked his parents to wait for two years. He said that as  He and Dharani would be getting engaged , she would become his fiancee. So they need not worry about anything. This made his parents convinced and they agreed readily.

Vikram and Kasturi  along with Mahender went to the function hall to welcome the guests.

Now Dharani had no choice but to travel with Prithvi. She avoided seeing him and she maintained her distance well. But sometimes, situations can be unpredictable just like now.

Prithvi knew that Dharani was avoiding him. He had to take her to the function hall and she is taking a long time to come out. He waited for a long time. When he couldn't take it anymore, he knocked on her door and called her

Prithvi:
“ Dharani, come fast. We are getting late.”

Dharani also knew she can't stay in her room for a long time. Escape is not the solution. She had to face him . So she got out of her room. 

She was dressed in a sky blue pattu saree and adored herself with gold bangles and a neck piece. She looked divine. Prithvi could not take his eyes from here. She has no makeup and she looks beautiful.

Dharani cleared her throat and walked out a little. 

When she was passing through the living room, Prithvi called her. But as she continued walking towards the door, she heard him again

Prithvi:

" Dharani, Wait."     

  

Now she was sure he was talking to her.     
Confused, she turned around and looked at him and asked
