Neither were we just friends,
nor were we together.
Neither did we hold hands,
nor did we not confess.
You said you loved me,
like no one ever did.
You said you wouldn't stop talking to me,
but that's exactly what you did.
I said I'd be there,
when you needed me.
You said you wouldn't
ever lose feelings for me.
But in the end it's all messed up,
it's neither you starting a conversation with me,
nor replying to any of my texts.
It's all broken in the end,
and as it is,
it's never gonna mend.
But even after all this,
you'll always find the best friend in me.
Which you've lost for now,
since you stopped talking to me.
