Chapter 10

Today's Finns birthday and I couldn't be more excited for him.

After sleeping in Matteos room together again last night we woke up to kayden bringing Finn breakfast in bed.

Each of the guys gave Finn a kiss on the cheek which I found kinda weird. Only because I don't know any friends who do that.

But to be fair I've never had close friends like that so maybe it's just me.

Finn looks at me and I realise he's silently asking for me to give him one.

And who am I to deny the birthday boy what he wants?

So I lean over and kiss him on the cheek. Damn he smells good. It's a comforting scent in a way. It's a vanilla scent, that I can tell, but I'm not sure of the other notes.

"Happy birthday bub" he smiles and leans his head to the side. "Bub?".

Oh shit oh shit oh shit

I did not mean to say that. Where did that even come from???

"Umm sorry I didn't me-" he interrupts me "no I like it" I nod trying to calm the slight panic in my chest. "Let me go get your gifts"

And then I basically sprint out the room. I can hear the chuckles that makes my face heat.

Once I'm back in the room I can't seem to make eye contact with anyone. I sit on front of him on matteos bed with my legs criss-crossed. I hand him the four books I got him.

I watch his face brighten tremendously.
"No you didn't" I laugh "I did" It was hard to do but I did.

"What did he get you love?" Finns head snaps up towards Xavier "He got me special editions of the Boys of tommen series!" His voice is getting faster and faster as he's talking "And they are signed."

Finn drops the books next to him and jumps on my lap knocking me backwards. "Thank you so much"

And then he does something that I did not see coming.

He grabs my face and kisses me.

It was only like a five seconds kiss but it still made me go rigid.

I hear the other guys suck in a breath clearly shocked as well.

When Finn leans back he freezes as well, realising what he's just done.

And then it all goes down hill.

Tears start pouring out his eyes. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

I snap back into reality with that. "Hey calm down. Its okay." I reach my arm out towards him but he flinched away.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to."

I frown. I think he's having a panic attack. "Finn it's okay" still he's shaking his repeating the words 'I'm sorry' over and over again.

I can't stand seeing him cry. It hurts.

I look over to the guys who also look very concerned. Matteo walks over "Finn" nothing, no reaction just him repeating word and shaking. Aiden walks over now "Baby talk to me"

Baby? Why would he call him Baby when he's with kayden.

All of a sudden Finn gets up and runs to our room and slams the door shut locking it.

I didn't even know you could lock it.

I sit there still frozen in shock. I'm so confused.

Aidens hand on my back makes me jump. "Come downstairs with me" I nod not know what to say. Once we are out in the hall I look to the left and see Matteo sitting outside the locked door talking to Finn.

He looks so sad. I feel sad. I didn't mean to make him panic or make him feel any way.

"Arlo come." I walk not really paying attention to anything around me. All I can do is think about what happened to Finn in the past to make him react that way.

Once we are in the front room Aiden sits me down on the sofa and crouches between my legs and places his hands on my knees. I can see xavier holding Kayden in a hug who has a worried look on his face.

"Look at me arlo." I do. "I need you to understand that this isn't your fault. Okay?." His voice is stern.

I nod "okay" my voice comes out shaky. "I just want make sure he's okay."

He sends me a sympathetic smile "I know but Matteo is with him making sure of that. Finn just needs a little bit of time."

"Arlo" I look over to kayden I see he's walking towards me. "Can we watch a movie to keep our minds off of it please?" His face also has a pained expression. "Yeah of course we can."

Aiden stands up and walks over to Xavier and jace after a couple seconds they all go to the kitchen probably to talk about what just happened.

Matteo

I've been sitting outside Finns door for about half an hour.

I know he will open the door soon because this is what he does every time he has a panic attack.

See the reason Finn came here is because of his homophobic parents. So I can imagine the thoughts that are going through Finns head right now.

He was so happy that arlo actually payed attention to what he loves because he never really had that growing up.

I know he wasn't even thinking when he kissed Arlo. He's always done that with us when he's excited and it honestly already feels like Arlos apart of our relationship.

Once I've spoken to Finn and made sure he's okay I'm going to have to tell Arlo about the relationship. I think its about time.

I hear the door unlock and then Finn steps out of the room and into my arms. I hold him as tight as I can. "How are you feeling baby?" He tenses for a second. "I'm feeling guilty." I frown "Why? You didn't do anything wrong."

He nods "yes I did. He probably hates me now." 

"No he doesn't. He just to make sure you're okay." Aidens says behind us, supprising us both.

Finn leans back "really?" He has a hopeful look on his face. "Yeah baby, come see"

I swear I've never seen him move so quickly.

Once we're in the front room Finn pauses. His gaze is on the boys, who are on the sofa. "Arlo" his voice croaks.
