Chapter 15

Arlo's pov

It's been three days since Marcel visited and since then Matteo has been in contact with him every day. Apparently Marcel thinks he's already found the house that he wants, which is very exciting. To make it even better it's about ten minutes away from us. The look on Matteo's face was so cute, I can tell he's so happy for his brother.

On an even brighter note, tomorrow is Aiden's birthday. Me and the rest of the guys have been planning a big surprise for him and honestly, I can't wait to see the look on his face when he sees it.

I walk into Matteo's room and close the door so that no one can hear the conversation. He's sitting at his desk working on who knows what. "Hey, Matteo I was just wondering if you have heard from my parents recently?"

He turns round to face me and sighs with a sympathetic look on his face. "The last time I heard from them was a couple of days ago to tell me they were going on a vacation."

My heart drops. I don't understand why they are being like this. I have never caused them trouble in the way of my behavior the only time I can say that I caused them trouble is when my mental health was at its all-time low. Even when they dropped me here everything seemed okay, I mean they did seem ready to leave as soon as I stepped out of the car but they never acted like they didn't want me before so I just really don't understand.

"Oh okay thank you anyways."

I go to leave but his voice makes me pause. "Come here, love." He indicates to his lap and I move straight away just wanting his touch and affection.

Sitting on his lap I lean my head into his chest and try to keep the tears at bay. Matteo stokes my hair and pecks the crown of my head, silently telling me he's here for me, which I really appreciate. "I just don't understand why they don't want to talk to me. Do they not love me? Am I just a disappointment to them?" My voice comes out shakier than I would like to admit.

Matteo's hands pause in my hair and then he lightly grabs my face, forcing me to look at his face, which is stern. "Don't ever think that way, my love. do you hear me?" His grasp on my face tightens slightly, "You are not a disappointment and I know that they love you, they just have reasons why they don't speak to you. I mean they are reasons that I don't understand and truth be told they aren't good enough and they never will be, but they do love you."

I nod my vision now blurry. Wanting to forget about this whole situation I decide to bring up Aiden's birthday. "So is everything ready for tomorrow?"

Matteo grins. "Yep. Aiden always sleeps in on his birthday so it gives me time to go and meet the lady tomorrow. You and the rest of the guys will be preparing breakfast while I'm out and then when I'm back we can give him the best surprise."

"I can't wait to see his face. He's going to be so excited."

Matteo squeezes my sides and lets out a little chuckle. "Me too. Why don't you go in the basement with the rest of the guys I'll be in there in two minutes."

I nod and lean up a little to give him a peck on the lips which he deepens and I can't help but let out a groan. He lets me go and kisses my cheek. "Off you go before I end up with you on my bed naked."

I jump off his lap and run out of the room with a stupid smile on my face.

The thought of me naked under him makes my face heat up. I'm not going to lie lately I have been thinking about taking the next step with them. I mean how could I not when they are all incredibly fine and they are constantly touching me?

Can you blame me?

Although I am also very nervous, I'm still a virgin so it is all very new to me and the thought of me embarrassing myself in that situation just scares me because it is very possible. But if I was to trust anyone with me it would be these guys.

"What's the red face for Arlo?" Jace says grinning from ear to ear.

I honestly didn't even realise I had made to the basement because I was too lost in thought. "Nothing I mutter too embarrassed to tell them the real reason why my face look like a tomato.

Xavier who's sitting next to Jace lifts an eyebrow. "You sure love? You look very hot."

I shake my head and make my way over to Aiden on the bean bag. As soon as I sit down he pulls me into his embrace and I can't help but take a deep breath. Fuck he smells so good. "I'm sure."

I snuggle even more into Aiden and look over to Finn and Kayden. They are fighting over the remote and the scene makes me giggle. "You guys need to stop fighting over the remote and let us all pick a movie together like we always do." they both pull apart but not without them grumbling about how the other one always gets to pick the movie. I roll my eyes and take Aiden hand in mine.

Matteo finally walks in and sits on the other bean bag. "So I was thinking we should watch Eternals."

Everyone lets out voices of agreement and as soon as the movie starts we are all in a comfortable silence.
