Kita and I began to walk back to where everyone was at.

"So are we retiring now?"

"Hm? What do you mean?" Kita asks with confusion.

"The partners in crime thing. There's nothing I can really do now about Suzuki-chan. I feel a little lost now."

Kita smiles sweetly and chuckles.

"Oh Y/N, we're partners in crime forever! If you ever find someone you like I'll try my best to help you get with them! And you still need to help me with Ryo-senpai..." She says while blushing slightly.

"Ehe you're right. After this trip ends I gotta meet her again."

"I'll take you to one of our rehearsals. My bandmates have been wanting to meet you."

"HUH? Really? So you've been talking about me huh?"

Gotoh was right.

Kita laughs awkwardly.

"It's not like I was saying anything bad about you. I just like talking about you. Is that okay with you?" She asks with a cheeky smile.

"I mean I don't mind. I won't be so bad meeting them if they already somewhat know me."

"Yep! They'll love you!

We continue our journey up the mountain. At this point, we're almost at the top. We've passed many waterfalls and trees. It really starts to feel like we're high up. Throughout the hike so far Kita was doing most of the talking. The two girls in Kita's group seem to get along really well with Mitsuya. They don't mind his quietness at all.

Interesting.

Still haven't talked to Suzuki yet. But once we reach the top of the mountain, I think that'll be the perfect time to fix our friendship. Even though the possibility of being her boyfriend will always be a fantasy, I enjoy hanging out with her a lot. I've made things awkward by ending the conversation like that last night. I'm a real idiot for that.

"Someone carry me I'm tired." Zenki says.

Everyone stays silent as if nothing was ever said.

"Don't just ignore me!"

"We're almost there. Quit complaining." Suzuki says in a slightly annoyed tone.

"Damn. You didn't have to say it like that."

Suzuki crosses her arms and pouts.

"I'm not carrying you! You're probably heavy anyway."

"I'm not fat!"

"No matter what you say I'm not carrying you. Ask someone else."

"Y/N-"

"Don't even bother."

"Aw man!"

"U-Ummm... I wouldn't mind... b-but I don't think I'm strong enough." Gotoh says with a frown.

"Ah! I can't let you with a face like that!"

A little while later we finally reached the top. Kita runs to the edge of the mountain to see the view.

"Wow! It's so beautiful!"

She wasn't wrong about that. We could see a lot of the landscape. The sky was clear, there were tons of mountains in sight. I can feel the breeze pass my face. It was rather cool.
