Suzuki and I arrive at the art club to only see Kita.
"Where's Mitsuya?"
Kita frowns.
"He's at basketball practice. The season starts today."
"Ah... I see. So he won't be here as often."
Suzuki frowns.
"Ah, man! It won't be the same without him."
Kita chuckles.
"I know right? He's almost always here."
"How good is he at basketball?" I ask Kita.
"He's pretty good! He plays with his buddies in the gym all the time."
"Ah, I see."
I've never really seen Mitsuya outside of the art club. It feels like he's been a lot more open to all of us. I should get to know him a bit more.
Maybe I'll go to one of his games.

"Okay guys! How's it looking so far?"
I showed Kita and Suzuki the latest chapter I made. I liked how it turned out so I'm excited to see what they think.
"Ooo! You left it when things were getting good."
"I know right?! Kenji and Mitsuki find an abandoned high school! I can't wait to see what they find there!" Kita exclaims.
"Hehe, you won't be disappointed."
I want Kenji and Mitsuki to roam around the school. The more they explore the more Mitsuki seems to be uneasy, so Kenji asks what's up. She doesn't wanna say at first but she eventually decides to open up, it turns out the abandoned school they were in was the school Mitsuki would attend, before the whole vanishing of humanity.
She looks back at the memories she had and wishes she could go back. Kenji feels bad for her and tries to get her to stay positive. He says no matter what happens they'll always have each other. She asks if he promises and he says yes. Then they have a little sweet moment.
It'll be perfect hehehe! They'll love it.
After art club ends Kita and I begin to walk home together like usual.
"Your manga is getting really interesting!"
"You think so?"
"Mhm! You've been really working hard. I'm so proud of you. I need to work harder too..." She says quietly as she looks towards the ground.
"You have been improving at guitar and singing. So why do you sound sad?"
"I do feel like I'm improving. But... at the same time, it feels like it's not enough. I just... want you to be proud of me... Ngh! Forget what I said-"
"Kita, I am already proud of you. You confessed to the person you liked, which isn't an easy thing to do. I'm very happy with how far you have come."
Kita looks at me in the eyes for a while. Suddenly she leans her body onto my shoulder.
"W-What are you doing?!"
"Hehe! You just know how to make me feel better!"
"B-But why are you so close?"
Kita looks at me in the eyes while blushing.
"You don't like it?"
She leans in even more.
