As we walked through the mob of people in the auditorium everyone couldn't wait to see the big show. We were able to get some glow sticks which is pretty cool. The curtains were closed but I'm pretty sure they were behind it. Everyone wouldn't stop talking about Kita.
Is she that famous?
We managed to get a front row view of the stage. Slowly the curtains open revealing the band. The audience starts to cheer. They all wore black t shirts that said Kessoku Band.
Cool merch.
Kita's eyes scan the crowd until she notices me. She instantly smiles and waves at me. I awkwardly wave back not expecting her to just straight up wave at me in front of everyone.
"Good luck!" I shout.
She nods looking determined to put on a good show.
"Hey everyone! We are Kessoku Band! We hope you all have had an awesome day at this year's Culture Festival! This song we're about to play is called Never Forget. Hope you enjoy!"
After Nijika gives the count off with her drumsticks they begin their first song. Gotoh had a lot of cool guitar parts. It looked pretty hard due to how focused she was. Kita looked happy as ever, which put a smile on my face. I like seeing her happy.
"Y/N, don't you think they sound a lot better than the last time?" Suzuki whispers.
"Yeah! They really do! They must have worked really hard for this."
God I love her so much.
I swung my glow sticks as hard as I could to the beat. Once the song was over the crowd roared in applaud, and so did I.
Kita hands the mic to Nijika and she talks about the band. This is honestly one of the best ways to promote their stuff. This will make everyone come to Starry and buy tickets to hear their music. Nijika hands the mic back to Kita.
"I hope you guys saw the clubs today! There was some really awesome stuff. I really liked how the owner of the art club Y/N made a whole manga! If you wanna check out his stuff make sure to stop by the art club!"
Kita...
She looks over at me and winks.
"Our next song is dedicated to someone very special to me... It's called If I Could Be A Constellation! Hope you like it!"
And with that, they begin their next song.
Ah, my favorite one.
I could hear her sing for the rest of my life and never get tired. She looked as happy as she could be too. But when I look over at Gotoh she seems to be in a little distress as if something was going wrong. I don't get it. Everything seems fine to me. Everyone was in sync, Kita's voice was as beautiful as ever, and Gotoh was playing her parts as if it were nothing.
Then out of nowhere one of her guitar strings snaps. She kneels down and observes it in complete terror.
"Oh no! Her string..." Suzuki gasps.
"That's not good. It sounds like a solo is coming up too. What are they going to do..."
Kita seems to notice the issue as well. I start panicking a little and I'm not even playing myself. I don't know what they will do. This is their big moment. Their time to shine. For Gotoh to show off her amazing guitar skills.
