"How do I look?"

"You look wonderful!"

"Hmm... but isn't my hair a little too fancy?"

"No! It's nice. You look super handsome!"

I asked Yui to come over to help me do my hair. She usually tends to do this whenever I have to look all fancy for something. She loves doing it as well and can style it better than me and my mom.

"Say Yui, are you ever gonna bleach your hair again?"

She puts her hand to her lip and looks towards the ceiling.

"Probably not. Those days are over."

"Ah. You were so big into fashion."

She chuckles.

"Well, I'm a big metalhead so when I was younger I wanted to represent the look as much as possible!"

"Don't you think you went a little overboard though?"

"Yeah, you could say! But as time went on more and more jobs wouldn't hire me! People kept thinking of me as a "bad" girl. So here we are now. But no matter how I look, I'll always be a metalhead at heart."

"Yeah, that is true. I like the way you look now."

She giggles.

"I look such like an older sister right!"

"I mean, you look more like a parent."

Yui puts her hands to her mouth and gasps.

"Do I look that old? I'm only in my 30s! This can't be!"

"What? No no! You look young! What I mean is you look like a young healthy parent."

"Is that so?"

"Yui."

"Yes?"

"Can I ask you something?"

"Mhm. Ask me anything Munchkin."

"Do you think Kita will actually move? Yesterday I promised to Kita that I would make today a day to remember in case she does actually move to Osaka. I've been thinking about it all today, and what if she actually does move? What if it's not in my control? I don't know, maybe I'm overthinking it. Or maybe I'm just delusional. After all, I'm just a 16 year old kid and her mom is a grown woman with lots of money. What do you think?"

Yui pushes up her glasses.

"Well, technically you are certainly right that she could actually move. But I don't think so."

"Why's that?"

"Because of you."

"What do you mean me?"

"Because her mom knows you won't let that happen. If she truly cares for her daughter how do you think she would feel if she forces Kita to move when she probably knows that you two are in love? If she truly cared I don't think she would break her heart like that. You said you would even speak to her yourself if you have to right?"

"Yeah."

"Then do that. Promise to her mom that you will take care of her with your life. Because I know you will."

"Alright... I'll do that."

She smiles sweetly and pats my head.

"Why are you patting my head?"

"Nothing. I'm just really proud of you. Meeting you was one of the best moments in my life. That's all. Now go. You have a job to do."

"You're right. Yui. Thank you so much for everything."
